The board of trustees at my school is steamrolling over the democratic process because they refuse to compromise with those that do not fully support their plans to waste lots of money on new ventures that are totally outside of the school's core competencies. The school's president, Shirley Ann Jackson, is rumored to be a top pick for Hillary's science adviser as president. The foreshadowing is very scary.

This article is totally unbiased because it bashes both parties!! This article details experiments using fMRI's to show the physiological response generated when an individuals favorite politician lies, versus when their least favorite politician lies. The bottom line, they delude themselves into believing things they know are not true for their favorite politician while actively trying to hate politicians from the other party. Sounds a lot like brainwashing to me.

thanks for the link! it's scary how right some of those from the past (be it 300 years ago, or 4 years ago pre-Iraq) are turning out to be. on a different note, i think i'm going to leave the democratic party so i can vote for ron paul in the primaries. i'm so sick of pelosi's BULLSHIT and her constant inaction in lieu of the fact that she COULD enact policy changes if she had the cahones. gore vidal (or chomsky? one of them) said it well, "There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party ... and it has two right wings, Republican and Democrat"
