Just wondering.. how is this a "pun" (as many commenters are calling it)? I know about UNIX epoch time, etc, but if it's a pun, then there must be something that sounds similar to "epoch fail" that's a more common saying, but I can't figure that one out. … (see comment)

The more the dollar's value declines, the higher the price of gas. Your comment would make sense if you were in a non-US country.. that is, gasoline prices /should/ be falling or stagnating in Europe due to the dropping value of the dollar. (see comment)
