Government is the only institution in our country that has the ability to insure that all citizens have basic services. Roads, police, potable water are some of the things that we do not trust to the profit motive. Health care belongs on that list. (see comment)

Sexually abused children often abuse animals. Is there more to the Huckabee story than this one incident? Did then Governor Huckabee influence other criminal investigations into the conduct of his family members? Will the press look for the answers? (see comment)

While the GOP is the undisputed king of smear ("don't the Mormon's believe that Satan is the brother of Jesus"), the question should be "is this story true." The party of the candidate is not the issue. (see comment)

Abuse of animals by children is often associated with a history of sexual abuse. If this story is true it may well be the tip of the iceberg. (see comment)
