McCain requests frequent town-hall debates with Obama! [PDF]
romistrubThis could be one of the greatest changes to presidential debating in a long time. I know I, for one, have been waiting a *very* long time for discourse in this format. The media-held debates have been absolutely terrible! As a non-partisan, I am also very proud of the McCain camp for stepping up to the plate on this one.
On a more conspiratorial side, is this a trap? Will McCain down the airplane to force a neo-con/Clinton ticket? Hehe.
Also: I included a direct link to the PDF, since I'm tired of all the opinion-based article spam that everybody submits! We should come to our own damn conclusions!

Huge Biomass Hidden Under Seabed Could Reframe "Life"

I think this has huge implications for how scientists search for life. We always assumed that life was dependent on the energy incident upon the planet from local stars, but this might not actually be the case! This vastly increases the chances that life exists elsewhere. Unfortunately, this also means that scientists can't rule out a planet as life-bearing just because surface samples are dead.
