there are lots of practical applications for SL, it's not just a glorified chat program. It's good for telecommuting, conferences, education, design prototyping, demos and collaborative R&D. (see comment)

I was around the last time they tried this, total BS, LL can't enforce any of their policies. They also banned gambling, ages ago, guess how that turned out? (see comment)
