Why Has Heroes Failed To Save NBC?
Why Has Heroes Failed To Save NBC?

Well, I for one didn't know it was even on. I might have watched it, at leaqst have recorded it, had I known. I guess I've been living under a rock? I feel like the networks need to do a better job promoting their shows OFF of their airwaves. If the only … (see comment)

I'm sure he'll do just that, but I'm also pretty sure it'll backfire. Either 1) no solution will be decided on, and we'll be no closer to an "answer" than before and he'll just look ineffectual, or 2) Obama will have a stat indicating that he's spent XX h … (see comment)

This makes me feel a little better about my decision to sell my Wii*. As a new Dad I just don't have time for gaming, but as a touch owner it pleases me that for just an investment in software I can pick up some AAA titles for play when I do get a free mi … (see comment)

PlayStation 4: Sooner than we think?
Comment in News (5 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/05/2008
How do you figure the PS3 will sell 6 million more systems than the 360 in six months? They've only managed to sell 13 million in the 18 months it's been on the shelves. Note, they have to sell six million MORE than the 360, not six million total. So, the … (see comment)

The iPhone Price Drop is a Lie
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 06/14/2008
Actually, I WOULD like an iPhone w/o service. I have an iPod touch and I'd love it, happily pay another $100 for it, if it had a camera, a speaker (the iPod touch speaker DOES NOT COUNT), BlueTooth, and GPS. I don't really need it to be a phone/internet a … (see comment)

Depends how you count it, I suppose. For example, is your computer 1 thing, or is it 4 (monitor, computer, keyboard mouse... or 5 if you count the speakers)? Is you digital camera 1 thing or 3 (camera, batteries, memory card)? Etc etc etc. Then there's a … (see comment)

I'm pretty anti-shoe, but even I have about 4 pairs. Sneakers for "exercise" (which means yard work and walking downtown for dinner), a pair of hard leather Sketchers for work, a pair of dress shoes, and a pair of winter boots... (see comment)

You are sort of correct but misunderstanding the claimed source of the energy. The user need only add water (and air) but that is not the source of the energy in this system - a chemical reaction with the metals in the cell and the water/air being added a … (see comment)

You miss the point entirely. Your retort to my basic argument, that the fair tax benefits the wealthy and punishes the middle class, is that the government currently takes out taxes from your income. Duh. I thought that explaining the current system would … (see comment)

There's nothing fair about the "fair tax". The "Fair Tax" is a national sales tax, for those who haven't read up on it. They propose that we "prebate" money to everyone equal to the sales tax rate (23% is proposed) on EVERYTHING (including FOOD AND MEDICI … (see comment)

Did the NBA fix the 2002 playoff series?
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 06/11/2008
Rand out of edit time, but I wanted to say that most of this could probably be fixed by adding instant replay to the game. Reviewing every call, or even automatic review of some calls would slow things down, but they could do two simple things to fix bad … (see comment)

You know, I love hockey, and the NHL. I'm a Michigan native, and it's "Hockey Town" around here... but I have to say that I have suspected they've been fixing SOME games for awhile now. For example, the Detroit loss in Pittsburgh felt contrived to preven … (see comment)

Except the phone DOESN'T cost $199 because you CANNOT buy it without the associate service. If you could I'd have no/less beef with it. The phone is intrinsically bundled with the service, though, and as such it costs at least $1900. (see comment)

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 06/10/2008
Yes he is: the $439 is the cost of the iPhone and the DIFFERENCE in the price from old to new data plan. The old phone was $399 with $480 of data charges over two years = $879. The new phone is $199 with $720 in data charges = $919. Take $480 from both of … (see comment)
