dugg for the comments section of the article. imo, these are portable devices, you can't expect them to stay in "in-the-box" condition when you carry them around in your pocket, backpack, whatever. just my $0.02 worth. (see comment)

indeed. if you need immediate support of proprietary formats your best bet is probably using nikon generated software, like capture nx. i'm sure apple will get around to supporting it, but these things do take time. (see comment)
