spooky, your point is fatuous. You can use your own argument to say that any number of things should be decriminalized because they don't stop people from breaking the law. And it also fails to appeal to the objection of pro-life people who believe that o … (see comment)

Wasn't this speech supposed to bolster his foreign policy bona fides? From the analysis I've read it just seems that his speech writers cobbled together a bunch of his lines from previous speeches around the US and just inserted "Berlin" in a number of pl … (see comment)

I wouldn't call US foreign policy "Bush's policies." The US has been and will continue to be more unilateral than the European nations. One could argue that the multilateralism of the EU countries relies heavily on the unilateralism of the US. If the US w … (see comment)

Agreed. The comparison is entirely fatuous. Reagan's speech was incredibly ballsy. He was advised not to use the "tear down this wall" line but disagreed with his advisers and used it anyway. Watching the Reagan speech now we really get to feel its power … (see comment)

Britain Tries to Block European Union Energy Laws

I'm not exactly sure how wind farms would cut it for the UK. In terms of acreage it would seem to be impossible to even make a dent in their overall energy needs with wind farms. We can't do it in the US and we have a ton more open acreage. It doesn't rea … (see comment)

Ok, I don't know if anyone understands this. But I'll give it a go. Politicians don't actually write their own articles! They have 3 or 4 people who work for their campaign knock it out and then give it to the candidate to read. So this has nothing to do … (see comment)
