Actually, if you view the video directly from digg (ie click the picture at the top) then it plays fine without login. The trick to this is that youtube allows embedding videos in other websites and trusts that THOSE sites are validating the content. Bec … (see comment)

Its because the image is actually a Bitmap and not a jpeg at all. There are other ways, but if you save the image and open with notepad (instead of as an image) you will notice it begins with "BM" a jpeg has "JFIF" near the start. (see comment)
