Tired of seeing "We could not complete your iTunes Store request"?

I tried reverting back to the 1.x version of my iPhone following your instructions above. After reconnect and holding the menu key ... iTunes did ask me if I want to restore --> downloaded the older firmware --> then failed. I dono what to do at this poi … (see comment)
