Great stuff going on at Caltech! And about water distillation: Setting up large solar power plants close to the ocean can make both electricity and fresh water. A simple setup with many mirrors tracking the sun and pointing at a large tank that has sea w … (see comment)

Don't you guys realize that by supporting this crap you are in the end going to elevate McCain/Palin to victory? This stuff is nonsense! Likely a Rovian plot to make the left look stoopid. (see comment)

I'm not commenting as a supporter of either Obama or McCain. I just call em as I see em. Unless something really dramatic happens you will indeed see McCain taking the oath of office!. And that in spite of the fact that a dem should be walking away wit … (see comment)

Forgotten history: The true origins of the PC

It is amazing what people were able to do with such equipment. I program microcontrollers in C and asm and that is comparable to those old systems, but on a single tiny sm chip. The smallest I work with is an 8 bit one that costs 55 cents and runs at 20mh … (see comment)

Olmos is the best actor doing TV today..IMO. It is his acting that keeps me watching BG so intently. It's amazing how Olmos with his pock-marked and well seasoned face is sexier than the pretty boys on BG...at least to me. He is sexier now than he was 26y … (see comment)
