All of these chemicals are used on vegetables - crops that usually have very large problems with pests. It's an economic decision. The benefits outweigh the risks. If a few hundred farm workers have elevated risks of cancer compared to thousands of bus … (see comment)

You'd be surprised. All of these schools are in the middle of nowhere. Take a campus in downtown Minneapolis (U of M) and the Mississippi is not a problem because people here have more to do than get drunk as hell and play in the river. (see comment)

Disturbing story: kids from mediocre schools with alcohol problems sometimes disappear for weeks at a time to suddenly be found drowned! Wake up people. The "river killer" is just crappy MnSCU alcohol fueled schools. (see comment)
