Above the Fire: The American Flag at Burning Man 2008

This is a very awesome picture that a friend of mine took while at Burning Man. The flag was not burnt - so don't be mistaken.

"The theme for this year's burn is "The American Dream". I think it did an amazing job of separating the dream from a lot of negativity that much of our culture is associating with the current government. Very positive vibes. Many people seem to not know what an upside down flag means... it means distress... The fire in the background was the man after he fell."
