Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 08/19/2007
I actually thought, why not, I'll take a look. I could do much because I'm not an existing subsriber. After a dozen screens or so trying order a phone line and then find $10.00 DSL it all ended for me here: "Due to technical problems, we are unable to … (see comment)

digg trademark opposed by Lucasfilm

Comment in News (3 diggs, 0 replies) - on 02/22/2007
Between Trademarks and Patents it's becoming next to impossible to start a business anymore without getting sued by someone. You know how much a trademark attorney costs? It can be $300 / hr or more around here for the specialty and the pleasure. (see comment)

Is there a digg-like tool for independent artists to post their songs and let the public vote them up and chat about it? Some hybrid of functionality like newsvine and digg would work well I guess. That might be interesting because it would be it's own … (see comment)

Extremely Cool Video Optical Illusion: Rainbow & Waterfall

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 12/23/2006
My first thought was.. cool.. My second thought was, as a test, does it teach you anything about yourself or your brain to measure the amount of exposure time relative to seeing the color version and then how long it takes for the color to fade? Do some … (see comment)

Should the U.S. Get Rid of The Penny?

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 12/03/2006
Personally, I think the penny is fine where it is and needs to be kept around. It's the *paper* version of the dollar that needs to be phased out and 50 cents reintroduced, $1, $2, and $5 coins be easier to find and use. I'd also keep the $5 bill th … (see comment)

I'm not interested in these hacked versions of OS X. But, I would switch all my computers to OS X in a heartbeat if Apple would just sell me a version that will run on standard Intel hardware. Everyone knows it's possible. It's not even that hard proba … (see comment)

Ruby on Rails stakes out Java's turf

Comment in News (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 11/11/2006
I'm glad to see a story about ruby and RoR. I second that comment though about the rails wiki. A lot of the information is old and it's full of spam pages. It's pretty useless as it is right now. It seems difficult to find any good online tutorials … (see comment)
