I've only had to call microsoft a few times, but I got a person who spoke english clearly with no wait every time. However, calling the manufacturer of pretty much any PC is a crapshoot (especially dell). (see comment)

You pay more interest on the front end of a mortgage. By the last year you'll be paying almost entirely principal. Also, any extra you pay now goes directly to principal. (see comment)
