This one is more interesting: http://trprtk421.livejournal.com/1246.html When I first saw it I thought it was grass -- but it's green because of the bile. (see comment)

Everybody's missing the real reason why football hasn't taken off in the USA. For a sport to be successful in the USA it has to be built around advert breaks. With no breaks in play for forty-five minutes at a time, no television network in the USA is wil … (see comment)

Juan Pablo Montoya Makes NASCAR Debut

Comment in Videos (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 10/30/2006
There's WAY more money in F1 than there will ever be in Nascar. Remember that F1 is a global sport, whereas Nascar is almost exclusively American. The only reason Montoya moved to Nascar was because he was so shit that no F1 team would hire him any more. (see comment)

Alonso Wins 2006 F1 World Series

Comment in News (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 10/23/2006
@alexgsmith It will reduce competition because -- with the engine development freeze -- teams will not get the opportunity to improve their package. So get ready to see the same car winning race after race throughout the THREE SEASONS the engine freeze … (see comment)

Yeah, but Schumacher also had reliability failures on two race meetings in a row. When was the last time that happened?! At Japan he had his first engine failure for FIVE YEARS. (see comment)

The Indie-Rock Insurgency Against iTunes

Comment in News (3 diggs, 0 replies) - on 10/09/2006
It's a bit of a myth that Warp is an electronic-only label. It's most famous for its electronic artists, but it's also the platform for plenty of rock(-ish) bands like Broadcast, Tortoise (in the UK at least) and more recently Battles and Grizzly Bear. Th … (see comment)

Schumacher owns in China

Comment in News (3 diggs, 1 reply) - on 10/01/2006
The championship won't necessarily go down to the wire. If Alonso retires and Schumacher wins in Japan, Schumacher will be 10 points ahead. But the lead will be unassailable as even though Alonso can draw level on points (which would make it the closest c … (see comment)

Bad list. Started off as interesting, but how can you call Bloglines a loser? It even says it's always been the leader, but calls it a failure because it hasn't been overhauled? Maybe it doesn't need overhauled?! That's why it's the market leader! And … (see comment)

Late-night quiz show host gets surprise from caller

Comment in Videos (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 09/23/2006
@Lumiras I don't think it was a setup. I'm presuming you don't have quiz channels in America yet. These programmes are on for hours and hours every day on late-night television here in the UK. With the amount of calls they take, it's not surprising tha … (see comment)

@TiMMY8765, have you been watching F1 recently? The FIA is so pro-Ferrari it beggars belief. Also, somebody else mentioned how cool it will be when in a few years time F1 engines will reach 25,000rpm. I'm sorry to say this -- it is an embarassment to t … (see comment)

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 09/14/2006
The difference this time is that you don't have to hunt and peck for them. They're staring everybody right in their face. Or in this case, their ears. Imagine, a media player that glitches your music up. How did they let this out? (see comment)
