webaddictHappy Monday Digging everyone. I hope you're not having a case of the Monday's. Here's a story to make you happier, just kidding, it's slightly disturbing. Email becoming the electronic equivalent of DNA Evidence. With our emails now being logged by most ISPs anything we say or do can be used in against us in the court of law and most of the time without a warrant. The warrantless stuff is legal under something called "the pen register" which dates back to telephone warrants. The White House - aka Bush - has made themselves immune to the Freedom of Information Act and there are over 5 million missing emails from whitehouse.gov networks. Anyway, take a look if you have time, I thought this was pretty crazy. As usual, if you don't want the shouts on stories I think are important, send me a shout and let me know and I'll make sure I exclude you. Have a good rest of Monday. You’ve Heard it Before: Military Claims Al Qaeda is ‘On the Run’ in Iraq
Hi friends,
I make the argument that either way you slice the 'Al Qaeda is on the run in Iraq' argument it comes up short. Even if we judge this story by the administration’s own standards, (bending over backwards to give them the benefit of the doubt) it's clear that the Iraq war has been unsuccessful in reducing the Al Qaeda threat.
