True or False? The Choicestream recommendations on Blockbuster.com are enhanced with "recommendations" for movies that Blockbuster happens to be overstocked on? (see comment)

Netflix cleaned the clock of their competitors, but you can't give them this win. Gamez n' Flix was broken from the start. It's just too bad that so many people had to lose money on the pump and dump before they finally got shut down. (see comment)

How many of these photos do you think that they ripped off of the smoking gun's website vs. actually getting them via freedom of information requests? Something tells me that this is just a quick cut and paste without any attribution to the hard work tha … (see comment)

I'm pretty sure that this was a random snafu. I noticed the teleworld broadcast this morning too. It had a strange graphic around it that looked like a trivial pursuit game piece. If it keeps happening, it's probably worth complaining about, but my gue … (see comment)

Buried for inaccurate headline, there's a huge difference between the DVR that Rogers tries to force on their customers and a TiVo. (see comment)

Netflix and Xbox.com: Cheating you out of $4/mo?
Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 07/23/2008
Netflix isn't cheating anybody out of anything, you are comparing apples to oranges. The $8.99 Xbox plan is for one DVD at a time with unlimited streaming and all you can eat rentals. The Netflix $4.99 package is for a one at a time, but only 2 rentals … (see comment)

My understanding of the law is that destroying evidence of any kind is considered a felony. Whether that evidence proves innocence or guilt is irrelevant. Even beyond any civil liability, these cops should have to answer to the same criminal charges tha … (see comment)

I'm not so sure about Hostmedia. Content on the site is really sparse and when I tried to upload a video last week it never showed up. I know that it's still in alpha phase, but it seems like they are more interested in soliciting donations than they ar … (see comment)

Somehow I doubt that this site has anything to do with Netflix or Gamefly, but it does still look interesting. If this is a real contender though, they should buy voxdisc.org and .net if they are serious about the name. I'd also consider a redesign on t … (see comment)

How to Rip Netflix's Instant Viewing Movies

I'd be careful about using this method to save your movies. After this hack became popular Netflix started canceling the accounts of people who were abusing it. (see comment)

Great article. The only thing missing from the list is H.264 and and how it fits into the whole equation, but that is a more recent video format. Overall a great overview on the options that consumers have to pick from. (see comment)

I think that this is smart by NBC because it allows non-DVR owners to get caught up on the show. Heroes is really good, but loses some of it's magic if you watch out of order. When I first saw that they were promoting Heroes I was really surprised, I fi … (see comment)
