This is the reason we at the San Diego Minutemen have chosen to work with Howard Kaloogian. He is someone who fights for what he believes in, regardless of the political consequences. Howard has campaigned for elected office and has both won and lost elections, but he never changed his views on the issues to secure political favor with the establishment or special interest lobbyists. Instead Howard has fought for what he saw as being in the best interests of this nation - and that includes the need to secure our borders.

This slide show by Frank Deford gives a history of Olympic boycotts from 1906 to 2008. The Olympic torch ceremony and the lighting of the flame was not tradition from ancient Greece but the idea of a Nazi propaganda department. The Olympic flame is the only Nazi symbol with positive connotations still in use today.
