After seeing some of those commercials, I did some research on T Boone Pickens, and it turns out he was one of the key individuals financing the Kerry Swift boat ads from the last election. Also a major contributor to W. I don't trust this guy. (see comment)

What pisses me off is that if I could just get high speed internet by itself at a reasonable cost, I would have no need for either TV or phone services, but the only people I can get high speed internet service from are either TV or phone services. (see comment)
