We need visionaries in this world. Farouk el Bas, having been finely honed by time, is one of those individuals. His goal, his paths and his well sculptured preordained destiny are seemingly set in stone and the harvest and benefits from his efforts are immeasurable.

There have been many attempts to design an electric powered vehicle for as long as the the internal combustion engine has been around. Unfortunately, battery power was never a formidable contender to the present internal combustion engine, but it looks as though the future looks more pronising.

Our government here in the U.S. and most other nations of the world have been irradiating some of our foods increasingly from simple bacon since the mid 1950's. They say it saves the aggravation of food manufacturers lawsuits from the lessening of process contamination, but does it really work?

With all of the unknowns in both our agricultural and post harvested food processing before we make the final purchase at the supermarket, sometimes the foods we do eat, are totally different than those that we are able to grow in our own back yard, or are able to buy from U.S.D.A. organically certified farms.

For a few decades now, the U.S. has been advocating and implementing irradiation of some of our foods, mainly ground beef, chicken and as of late, many of our fruits and vegetables. During much of this time period, public reaction has been predominantly against it and many consumer advocates hope to eventually topple our governments efforts.

Ever since Louis Pasteur, whenever we got an earache as a child, strep throat, or other infection, we were usually given an antibiotic to make us better. As an adult, we learn that given all the benefits of this cure-all, there are some negative aspects of using antibiotics. Even now, as I have always been taught that Omega oils lubricate our inner mechanics, probiotics protect them from the deadly invaders.

In order to sell food to millions of consumers, the food industry must make it appealing to as many as possible, from the young child to the elderly. In order to accomplish this, individual food suppliers use additives to make their foods taste better.
