A (Thorough) Review of the Neo Freerunner

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 07/23/2008
Before anyone says it, yes, I know that there are "reviews" on sites like Gizmodo and Ars. If you take a look, though, you'll see that they're _software_ reviews: none of them seem to have actually touched the phone itself. Moreover, they seem to be mos … (see comment)

NYT Rejection Of McCain Was Not 'Unprecedented'

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/23/2008
WTF just happened here. In yesterday's article on this issue, I saw a comment page full of Diggers talking about how the NYT needed to be fair and publish both sides. Now another article has got a page full of comments talking about how justified they w … (see comment)

Congress Makes it Harder for Credit Cards to Target Students

Comment in News (4 diggs, 1 reply) - on 07/23/2008

Critical Week for Canonical and Ubuntu Linux

Comment in News (11 diggs, 3 replies) - on 07/22/2008
WTF? Would you prefer your software scattered across all the different developers sites? I mean, I'm pretty sure most of them have .deb downloads anyways, if you really want to get your software the Windows (aka pain-in-the-ass) way... (see comment)

Kid Slammed by Petting Zoo Goat [VID]

Comment in Videos (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 07/21/2008
Goats can be some mean sons of bitches. I grew up in a more rural area, and we had a couple as pets. There were a couple of months, though, where I couldn't go into the goat pen, because one of them got so damn aggressive that it'd just ram me right up … (see comment)

41 Amazing Tilt-shift miniature faking photographs (PICS)

This is correct. Tilt is generally used more with view cameras, where you can tilt the lens and film planes separately to achieve effectively unlimited depth-of-field along a slanted surface (the Schumpflug effect, I think they call it) (see comment)
