They might be fresher, but your local farmers probably use pesticides. The only reason they wouldn't is if they were trying to market to the "organic" crowd - in which case they would tell you. (see comment)

@Cytranic You have obviously not ever used GPS. GPS signals do not propagate very well through any kind of solid surface - i.e. car roof, building... etc - you basically have to have a clear view of the sky for it to work. Last time I checked, the set … (see comment)
