Watch Out! Federation of Light Spacemen Are Coming Tuesday

Comment in News (4 diggs, 0 replies) - 9 hr ago
While I would absolutely love for this to happen, sadly I don't think it will. I don't believe in the whole channeling thing. That said, I have seen two very strange occurrences in my life thus far. One involved a bright object (like a star) at night t … (see comment)

Liquid Mirror Telescopes on the Moon

Comment in News (19 diggs, 0 replies) - on 10/10/2008
This sounds exciting! It will make the Hubble telescope look like a Fisher Price toy. The only downer in the article is the year we might have it -- 2020. I'm getting old! They need to accelerate the development of this stuff so I can see more in my l … (see comment)

Spore [XKCD]

Comment in Images (11 diggs, 2 replies) - on 09/24/2008
I feel the same way. I was so excited about Spore for the longest time. Now that I've played it...eh. It's still a good game, and I didn't expect it to match the hype, but I did expect it to be at least a little better than what it is. They could've d … (see comment)

Probably about the grossest thing I've ever eaten is baby octopus at a Chinese Buffet, completely intact but fortunately for me it was already dead (they eat 'em alive in China / Japan, I hear the tentacles continue to move even in your stomach). It has … (see comment)

Well, as I'm sure James Bond would agree, if I had my choice of what I'm doing right before I die I'd definitely choose sex with a hot broad! (see comment)

Nine Inch Fail!

@Awspire, totally agree. Unfortunately we'll probably never see one because Eternal Darkness sold rather poorly when it came out. :( Still one of my favorites. (see comment)

Nine Inch Fail!

That crossed my mind as well. It reminds me of that Gamecube game, Eternal Darkness. It would try to make you think you were going insane by doing all sorts of weird stuff to the screen, *including* a BSOD. :) (see comment)

Behind The Making of Spore

DRM only hurts the legitimate customers, it does absolutely zilch to the people who pirate it. Sometimes after I've bought a game I'll go search for the crack. "No-CD" cracks make playing a game incredibly more convenient since I don't have to search fo … (see comment)

What Sex Is Your Brain?

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 09/07/2008
12 out of 12 here too. But I have to admit, I've had a little bit of practice. The Wii game "Brain Age" has something almost exactly like this 3D shapes test. If I'm playing with my girlfriend I always try to get her to agree to pick that particular ga … (see comment)
