@pintong I tried opera 9.5 in the tests mentioned. The latest build of opera 9.5 comes out worse than the new webkit. but then again i didn't do realistic scientific tests. (see comment)

Transmission doesn't have DHT if I remember correctly, so azureus will give faster downloads, but ater 'zudeo' azureus is just too bloated. I know you can go back to the classical interface, but even then azureus just feels slow as a program (see comment)
