First look: Firefox 3 beta 4 brings new Vista hotness

Comment in News (-1 diggs, 0 replies) - on 03/11/2008
except all-in-one gestures doesn't support firefox 3 last time I checked. Theres a workaround but it keeps breaking for some reason. Really gestures should be integrated. It's a great feature and one of the main reasons I use Opera. (see comment)

Can the iPhone be everything to everyone?

Comment in News (4 diggs, 1 reply) - on 03/08/2008

I didn't say it took me that long. I was speaking from the point of a view of a casual user. Someone who a lot of linux users overlook because they think that if they are used to the operating system that every user should be. An operating system should b … (see comment)

We need some Linux standardization!

We need some Linux standardization!

I realise that. But that is for more common place drivvers. When I installed linux on any machine, I had to do a lot of tweaking to get all the hardware running. Windows takes just a few minutes and OS x is good to go. Some distributions like ubuntu make … (see comment)

We need some Linux standardization!

Comment in News (1 digg, 3 replies) - on 03/04/2008
I'm going to get dug down heavily here, but there are so many linux fanboys above. I've been using various linux distributions over the years and the diversity is a major pain in the ass for the casual user. Lets take a look at ubuntu. Sure it makes thin … (see comment)

If the installers behave in a standard manner(you double click, they open, you click next, select your options, wait and click done) and one installer will work on all windows builds then it is a standard (see comment)

you really are dumb aren't you? When have you had to personally install the nvidia driver in OS X on an official apple product? And you're totally missing the point. it's not about having to find drivers. it's the fact that you have to find, build and ins … (see comment)

The thing is, the number of word editors don't really affect each other. Most have support for a common set of file formats so ieven if I choose a certain editor I can still open stuff from msot of the rest. Now for installers, on windows, I double click … (see comment)

Sure, these games are controversial, but are they even good?

i thought manhunt was pretty fun. It had a very twisted feel to it and i thought they got the atmosphere just right. Got a bit repetitive though. Manhunt 2 was really boring. Too overdone and didnt have the pace of the original (see comment)
