sent a shout to 4 recipients on 07/08/2008Hey, this is a great step towards ending the bad business of credit bureaus. Currently, whenever you ask for your credit report (that means every time you get a new credit, apply for a loan, etc), the credit bureau had the ability to package your info and sell it to companies who were trying to figure out what the consumers were up to. Then you would be bombarded with direct mail / phone calls from all of these other companies offering you loans, additional credit cards, etc. Well now, Transunion has to settle, and if you qualify (the qualification is pretty simple), you can then get free credit monitoring for a year.
