Swedish Left Party Wants to Legalize Piracy

Comment in News (2 diggs, 0 replies) - on 06/10/2008
Copying isn't "stealing", however much you may dislike it. Copyright is a limited, government-granted monopoly that can just as easily be withdrawn by the same government responsible for supporting it in the first place. (see comment)

Microsoft Has No Answer For Their Broken XBOX Live DRM

Comment in News (0 diggs, 0 replies) - on 02/13/2008
I've no idea why you're being down-modded. That's exactly what happened here; someone bought a product from Microsoft and was swindled. (see comment)

Don't treat the old and unhealthy, say UK doctors

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 01/28/2008
That's false logic. Pretending I'm British for a minute, because I've been denied the freedom to acquire health care without government intervention, I also lose the freedom to live my life my own way? Why do I *owe* someone else certain lifestyle choices … (see comment)

I honestly don't think the reasoning behind digital "rentals" makes sense. There's no physical media that other customers are waiting for you to return. Do the studios honestly think that by making the bits self-destruct after 24 hours, they'll somehow sq … (see comment)

Match-O-Matic: Which Candidate Matches Your Views?

Comment in News (3 diggs, 0 replies) - on 12/23/2007
Unfortunately, I can't remember there ever being a pro-life candidate. Pretending to be pro-life is a game Republicans play, because they never actually have to do anything yet are assured a huge block of votes every election. If abortion were outlawed, t … (see comment)

Democrats Strip Michigan of All Delegates for Scheduling Early Primary

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 12/03/2007
That would be a sure-fire way of making sure only the richest, most media-promoted candidates had a shot. You might as well hand King George's crown and sceptre over Clinton/Romney right now. Less well-known candidates have to build momentum by starting … (see comment)

Rudy calls for a massive Military buildup to take on China and Russia

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 11/10/2007
The US already spends more on its military than the rest of the world combined, so what could Rudy possibly want? Oh, I know. He wants to keep embroiling the US in senseless, un-winnable conflicts with Third World countries to send China and Russia the me … (see comment)

Pat Robertson endorses a cross dressing abortionist for president

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 11/09/2007
In the sense that America = American people, Ron Paul (unlike Pat Robertson) does not blame America; rather, he partially blames the American government and foreign policy, a separate thing altogether. (see comment)

What a clever man that Dr. Paul is, spending 30 years voting consistently in a pro-liberty manner unlike every single other Congressmen. It's enough to fool one into thinking he's sincere and honest! (see comment)

The savvy political watcher will probably realize that she's a hypocrite who doesn't believe in anything, but professes Christianity when it's convenient because you can't become president if you're not one. (Of course, looking at history, a woman can't b … (see comment)

If Ron Paul were Prez, he'd outlaw abortion!

Comment in News (-2 diggs, 1 reply) - on 09/10/2007
As Ron Paul has explained many times, it is up to individual states to decide what are crimes, and how to prosecute them. Even murder and rape are decided by state legislatures, and prosecuted in state courts. The federal government isn't involved, and sh … (see comment)

Comment in News (1 digg, 0 replies) - on 08/15/2007

Comment in News (38 diggs, 7 replies) - on 08/03/2007
