Ummm... If I'm not mistaken blacking out the lights was a tactic used in WWII to confuse bombers into being forced to guess where they should bomb instead of bombing a definite target (ie. the bright lights of the buildings). (see comment)

Actually the Canadians from what I'm told by a Reg Force member (1st Btn. PPCLI) stole the idea of a digital pattern from the Danish, but they didn't steal it outright they modified the original danish pattern to be more "pixelated". (see comment)

ACTUALLY CADPAT isn't the best camo pattern in ALL situations. In some situations Fleck (German flecktarn) will work better, and in others the old Canadian OD will. Although I must admit that the CADPAT is the BEST for general all around use. I find that … (see comment)
