Fed program to transfer $40B of bad debt/mo to tax payers
Here's a disturbing article about how taxpayers are being forced to give still more money to Wall Street Welfare Queens. Apparently the $2 trillion of taxpayers' money that's already been given away isn't enough. Now Fannie and Freddie have been directed to purchase $40 billion per month in bad mortgages. This comes out to $480 billion/year. This is IN ADDITION to the $850 billion Wall Street Welfare bill just passed by Congress. And this is in addition to the $900 billion that had already been given away prior to the House's passage of the $850 billion Wall Street Welfare bill.

$2 Trillion Deficit by 2009
This is a very interesting article describing the potential cost to US taxpayers of the sum of all the Wall Street bailouts.
The financial crisis is now becoming an even bigger drain on the U.S. federal budget than experts estimated only 2 weeks ago, ballooning the deficit toward $2 trillion. Analysts now say the $700 billion bank- rescue plan passed by Congress last week may have to be significantly larger. The 2009 budget deficit could be close to $2 trillion, or 12.5% of gross domestic product, more than twice the previous record of 6% set in 1983.

Roubini: Rate Cuts Reduce Crash Risk, But Dow 7,000 Likely &
Economist Nouriel Roubini thinks the stock market may decline by 50% in the next year, or roughly down to 7,000. He also thinks that there will ultimately be a problem with deflation from the current crisis.
So far, Roubini has been right on every single one of his predictions.

Guns’n’Roses to release ‘Chinese Democracy’ Nov. 23—but where’s my free Dr. Pepper?
Hey! Remember back in March when Dr. Pepper announced that if Guns’n’Roses would release Chinese Democracy in 2008 the company would give a free can of Dr. Pepper to everyone in America (well, except the ex-members of G’n’R)? (You can re-read that article, here.)
Well, where’s my soda pop?! According to MSN and Billboard Magazine, Chinese Democracy will hit stores November 23.
