- asnider, on 07/07/2009, -0/+12There's a ramen noodle museum? Well, now I've got a reason to visit Yokohama.
- Geat, on 07/07/2009, -0/+6I spent my adolescence on a US military base near Yokohama. I'd come up to Yokohama as often as I could, just such a great place to get lost and wander around in. As cheesy as it sounds, the interplay of such massive and numerous buildings with the surrounding (and challenging) geography, makes one say "whoa, people can do some pretty incredible things when they want to."
Also, I took my first date here, so I get a little sentimental. - tensaibaka, on 07/07/2009, -0/+6I like Yokohama, but those pictures do not do it justice. They basically took the biggest tourist spot in Yokohama and showed a few pics. The other pictures could have been from anywhere in Japan....They show the red brick warehouse, but don't even mention the significance...the huge shopping mall, the stadium that was built just for the 2002 World Cup....I'm sorry, but these pics of Yokohama suck.
- fightingforair, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5No place like home. Kanagawa is such a fantastic prefecture alone. Yokohama is only one small stop you'd have to make if you came to visit here.
Enoshima: an island near Fujisawa, is a great place one needs to stop at if they want to see some great little temples away from the usual tourist route.
Hakone: fantastic views of Mt. Fuji. Includes Hell valley, where one can see where the hot spring waters originate from. Also treated to Hakone checkpoint. Where you can see where the Kanto area entrance into Edo of old.
Could go on forever. - gitargr8, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5I've always wanted to live in one of the arologies from Sim City 2000!
- ChileanGoD, on 07/07/2009, -0/+5I would like to visit you instead.

- Df@ce, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4I live a walk away from the Landmark Tower... Yokohama is such a beautiful city to live in and only 35min to the heart of Tokyo. I recommend anyone moving to Japan to live in Yokohama.
- diggimator, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2Didn't know Yokohama was the most populated Japanese city, but I guess that is more or less arbitrarily determined by where city boundaries are drawn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanese_citi ...
- scarlettletter, on 07/07/2009, -3/+5Have family in Japan, great place to visit!
- topcat5, on 07/08/2009, -0/+2Godzilla tore it down in 1994, but they built it back.
It's a great city. Like the others said, the photos in that article don't do it justice. - snagglefoof, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Yo, Millard Fillmore!
- bigplrbear, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2I've always wondered what it's like to visit Yokohama (I've never visited there before because I'm too poor :/ )
- amauldin71, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2I live in Yokohama, and while I think these pics are pretty good, I've seen better. Just Google image search Yokohama and you'll find some more spectacular shots (skipping around the tire pics).
I particularly like the ones with Mt. Fuji in the background, like this one:
