- themanflounders, on 02/18/2008, -0/+43When you get three stars they start coming after you with helicopters.
- ChzPlz, on 02/18/2008, -1/+29But it's in London, so it's a flat, regardless of if you rent or own.
- minoss, on 02/18/2008, -2/+27Why do apartments 10+ stories up need bulletproof glass...
- Aooogah, on 02/18/2008, -0/+24To prevent you from jumping out the window once you realize you spent around $200 million on an apartment?
- ColinCampbell, on 02/18/2008, -0/+24Haven't you watched 24?? Ask David Palmer.
- jadducci, on 02/18/2008, -0/+21British Godzilla
- rainierbeer, on 02/18/2008, -2/+19aren't all 100 million pound apartments equally expensive?
- saxreturns, on 02/18/2008, -0/+17For that price, it damn well better!
- AndrewDB, on 02/18/2008, -0/+16Leave Margaret Thatcher out of this Jadducci.
- CarzorStelatis, on 02/18/2008, -0/+16Is it just me or does that living room look kinda... small?
- gannondork, on 02/18/2008, -8/+23what a waste of money, good thing rich people are so stupid
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+14seriously, do not want. you could get villas in all the hot spots around the world for that much.
- borez, on 02/18/2008, -1/+15Trust the Daily mail to bang another £16 million on top of the real price which is £84 million.
Still can't afford it though. - Enfenestrate, on 02/18/2008, -0/+14Anything to help justify the cost
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+12they're gonna need to think up a new council tax band for that place.
- Totz83, on 02/18/2008, -3/+15Its not even nice, it looks sterile
- ivantalboys, on 02/18/2008, -0/+11What else are rich people going to spend their money on? The only true waste of money is to never actually spend the stuff.
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+11Because humans have the capability of carrying guns off ground level. And for nearly $200 million, why not?
- dawgma, on 02/18/2008, -1/+11Gannon.. you're a laugh. When rich people pay large amounts of money for something like a home, you can expect that money to benefit the working class shortly afterwards. That $100 million goes into the pockets of Candy and Candy, who then come up with a new construction idea and spend the money on construction firms and companies to make their textiles for interior design. Hundreds, if not thousands of blue collar jobs are paid for over the next few years.
Also... the $100 million apartment becomes an ASSET for the people who bought it. Sure, they won't be able to spend the $100 million on anything else while they still have the apartment... but they can always sell it and get most, if not all of their money back.
If that $100 million is left in the bank to simply grow interest, it does not helping nearly as many people as when it is SPENT.
The money gets passed around dude. It's not nearly as evil or stupid as you might think it is. - badjokes, on 02/18/2008, -1/+11I'm not sure how you would really be able to enjoy a 100 million euro apartment. it'd be pretty nerve-racking to throw a party. one spilled drink and its like 30,000 in damage.
- metalgel, on 02/18/2008, -0/+9be it an apartment or a girlfriend/wife
why is it either way men have to pay out the ass for a bj and waffles? - inactive, on 02/18/2008, -1/+9Yes, because obviously snipers cannot aim to up there...
- jonshipman, on 02/18/2008, -1/+9Euro != BPS
- groovechamp30, on 02/18/2008, -0/+7Rich people dont like tax, so they usually dont pay it.
- dawgma, on 02/18/2008, -0/+7Nice try... but it would have made sense if the title was actually "Worlds Most Expensive £100million Apartment"
- WWWoody, on 02/18/2008, -0/+6To prevent people from shooting out your windows.
- borez, on 02/18/2008, -1/+7He's from that cultural epicenter of the US that they call Omaha, Nebraska.
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+6100,000,000.00 GBP = 133,014,725.83 EUR = 195,010,280.43 USD
- WWWoody, on 02/18/2008, -0/+6I could do so much better with that much money...stupid rich people with more money than they can spend.
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+5No they wouldn't.
- Godlesswanderer, on 02/18/2008, -0/+5Although I know what you mean, it's GBP, not BPS.
- borez, on 02/18/2008, -0/+5A panic room is a secure room you can go to if your getting robbed/assassinated/shouted at by the misses.
- stevea1210, on 02/18/2008, -0/+5It isn't in the image section. The apartment hasn't been built yet. How many pictures of a non existent apartment do you want?
- cledford, on 02/18/2008, -3/+8ya, more pictures would be nice...
- domokunt, on 02/18/2008, -0/+4We don't these "condos" in the UK
- Abennobashi, on 02/18/2008, -1/+5it must suck to write something so long and still get dugg down.
- fandyboy, on 02/18/2008, -0/+4I like the way they tell us (and any would be kidnappers) where the passage goes.
- cawpin, on 02/18/2008, -1/+4Your wife is a whore?
- antych, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3I'll be looking for a flat in central London in a year or two, but looks like I'm 100 mln short...
- TechCF, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3I would rather have built myself a great home for me, and give all my relatives homes. And given 1000 homeless people in third world countries homes than purchasing a flat like this.
- pigsbladder, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3 I really hope that's sarcasm, because I'm laughing my ass off...
- borez, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3You should go see a doctor then mate.
- Godlesswanderer, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3I doubt this flat is intended for first time buyers.
- KMartSheriff, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3Someone get this man a medal and a beer.
- gothicform, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3A correction. This is NOT the first image of the apartment. In fact my website put this very image up months ago and then took it down after a chat with the developer who told us it was out of date! Methinks the Mail has got it's hands on an old release and run it as news.
- cococooky, on 02/18/2008, -0/+3They haven't built the damned thing yet - this image is computer generated.
- lewhich, on 02/18/2008, -1/+4At 100 million, the apartment better be able to cook, clean, and perform heart surgery if necessary.
- Supersonic1980, on 02/18/2008, -2/+5london sucks? how so? and you are from?
