- relic180, on 06/26/2008, -0/+3"Surely there is very real and very convincing data that the planet cannot survive the excesses of the human race: proliferation of atomic devices, uncontrolled breeding habits, the rape of the environment, the pollution of land, sea, and air. In this context, isn't it obvious that 'Chicken Little' represents the sane vision and that ***** Sapiens' motto, 'Let's go shopping!' is the cry of the true lunatic?"
- moomza, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2Diggers give a ***** about shopping?, only 6 comments after 186 diggs? Forbes needs to be a little less obvious when they game Digg like this. Spam.
- LauraBlu, on 06/28/2008, -0/+1I second Italy - Milan is the shopping Mecca of the world.
- relic180, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1I know it's a valid point, but it isn't mine (hence the quotes). See '12 Monkeys'...
- manzplan, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1actually you make a very valid point, however an environmentally concious traveler can buy things that help maintian the environment... rainforest coffee, etc. things that encourage locals to treat the environment with respect (as we should as well).. eco tourism - pay to see nature..
- inactive, on 06/26/2008, -0/+2I recommend Thailand as quite modern and the USD $ is worth 33 Thai Baht. Something for everyone from the worlds best exotic foods to Mc Ds and Pizza hut. Best shopping with cheap T ***** at $2,Custom suits $125. ea to ultra fine shopping in 6 floor luxury malls with best of USA, Europe,Japan and world market. Luxury Hotels are cheap, Beaches are extraordinary,Thai people are even better then extraordinary. Bangkok is like NYC, Chaimgmai has nature and history, airfares are low and I recommend also Thai Airways, ANA, Singapore air and JAL for outstanding customer service. Bargains at Evergreen, Korean air, Kathay Pacific.

Surely with the weak currency there, together with the major fashion labels as well as the beautiful settings, the city must be pretty high up there in terms of shopping destinations? Anyone ever been down to the Waterfront side?
