- rousehouse, on 07/07/2009, -7/+416I know this guy, really honest fella. Digg it up folks... time for the Digg army to send a message once again.
- acousticroof, on 07/07/2009, -3/+234Dave is a great guy and this is a totally true story....digg it digg it
- JoeB4ever, on 07/07/2009, -3/+218I hate the fact that everywhere you go you get ***** service by ***** employees. Yet there's hard working Americans 1000x better that can't find jobs.
- LtGenPanda, on 07/07/2009, -2/+192I hope UA and other airlines learn a PR lesson from this.
Glad to see that Dave has 2 more songs coming on the same topic. - christoph29, on 07/07/2009, -6/+194That's brutal, I'm a guitar player and I don't know what I'd do if that happened to me.
- whiteknives, on 07/07/2009, -10/+170I LOATHE Country music, but United deserves to fry for this. Dugg and 5-starred.
- duchamp, on 07/07/2009, -7/+131I don't like country music, but this guy did a pretty good job of making it likable.
- borez, on 07/08/2009, -0/+119I tour a lot and I'm not being funny but some of the states our gear comes off planes in defies belief. We've had broken guitars, keyboards, drum machines, amps, you name it. It's so bad that we don't even take back-line with us any more, we get the venue/club/festival to hire it in as part of our contract. We even had one flight where the airline actually managed to crush a fully armoured metal flight case. God knows how they did it, it looked like it'd actually been run over by a ***** 747 or something. Shocking.
- sockpuppets, on 07/08/2009, -2/+101This is better than the "Air France Killed my Family" video.
- shoelessjoe777, on 07/07/2009, -4/+95A champion for scorned airlines passengers everywhere! Thank you Dave Carroll for speaking up and sharing your experience....
- Rhodamine, on 07/07/2009, -3/+85I hope this stays on top for a while and some news outlet picks it up as odd-ball story. Payback's a bitch.
- biopuppet, on 07/07/2009, -3/+79Bluegrassroots campaign for respect and recompense! I'm for it.
- dafragsta, on 07/07/2009, -1/+57I'll digg you, but anyone who works in a ***** job like baggage handler doesn't really take pride in their work. Baggage handlers are usually crooks and *****. I actually had someone open my check bag and steal all my Mach 3 razors out of a brand new cartridge, including the one that was on the blade. This was a checked bag, not a carry-on, yet they left the cigar cutter and the pocket knife.
- shoelessjoe777, on 07/07/2009, -2/+58On YouTube there are hundreds of great stories from people all around the globe about how much the United Breaks Guitars songs reminds them of their own United stories.... among other airlines. I'm always for the under dog... It is about time that somebody stepped forth with a tactful way to put industry in its place! Without consumers, there is no industry...
- JoeB4ever, on 07/07/2009, -0/+49is this your first day?
edit: You've been here since March...so yes - JAWS, on 07/08/2009, -3/+49I've known the band (well, Dave) for years and he's a fantastic down-to-earth guy. He got jerked around for quite some time by United.
Hey United, guess what, by screwing a customer you just got ***** by the internet army!!! - JohnnyKdiggs, on 07/08/2009, -5/+49Add it to the list...
***** THE RIAA
***** THE MPAA
***** UNITED - tramblings, on 07/07/2009, -36/+76The first minute of the song was OK.
The second minute it was getting a little hokey, but I still felt bad for him.
The third minute was the same as the first two.
The rest of the song was the same as the first two minutes, and the third, inconsequential minute as well. At this point I started to agree with United's decision to break his damn guitar. - mrASSMAN, on 07/08/2009, -1/+40Haha holy ***** you went there..
- funk49, on 07/08/2009, -0/+31Okay, I feel for this guy but have ask...who the hell travels and checks their $1000+ guitar without an ATA approved case? You HAVE to assume these guys are beating the ***** out of everything.
- Kivenkantaja, on 07/07/2009, -4/+33Wow, you're a total *****. I bet your a bag handler.
- Fleagleman, on 07/07/2009, -2/+30I remember when I had my first beer...
- mugwumpz, on 07/07/2009, -2/+29Agreed that the vid was 60-90 seconds too long. But it's well done. The song is cute.
And United SHOULD have paid. Screw 'em. - craigm01, on 07/08/2009, -3/+27Attention spans just are not what they used to be...
- peppercake, on 07/07/2009, -3/+25I joined Digg to digg this song.
Good song about my least favorite airline. - inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+21What a digg virgin!
- Shdwdrgn, on 07/08/2009, -0/+21That's because the people who take pride in their work take a lot longer to do it. People who don't care just push the customers through like a processing plant. The suits see this person processed huge numbers of people, wrongly assumes that employee is a better worker, and promotes them.
- joshblufs, on 07/08/2009, -0/+20standard rant from this troll.
- twohoundogs, on 07/08/2009, -1/+20Some guitars can't be replaced. I know I would cry if something ever happened to one of mine.
- frode!, on 07/08/2009, -2/+20
Shoot em a line
media.relations@united.com. - Hamakuas, on 07/07/2009, -3/+20Dugg.
I don't much like country, but dugg for consumer justice.
And for not liking country, it was a well written/performed song considering. I hope he gets his recompense. - Siskoraban, on 07/07/2009, -1/+17Best of luck, sir.
- CaptObvious, on 07/08/2009, -3/+19No one told you to click on the link.
- dafragsta, on 07/08/2009, -3/+19Obvious troll is obvious.
- zuiquan, on 07/08/2009, -0/+15I can't stand country but now I've got this guy's catchy tune rolling around in my head non-stop and I can't say I'm unhappy about it. How in the world did he make country not suck???
- PxCxG, on 07/08/2009, -1/+15Agreed. I'm a guitarist and I would never trust the airlines with my guitars. When I flew from NY to LA once, I bought a seat for my two guitars. Seems extravagant but it was cheaper than shipping them and it is more convenient.
- dafragsta, on 07/07/2009, -2/+16Damn. Taylors, aside from the baby, aren't cheap either. They are on the same level as Martin. If anything, they're better. Martin doesn't have the reputation they once did.
- mechnoch, on 07/08/2009, -0/+13or they could just not break *****, and folks would be happy.
- inactive, on 07/08/2009, -0/+13Can't wait for Delta to shorten this video down to a 30 second Super Bowl spot.
- dafragsta, on 07/07/2009, -2/+15Yep. I only have SKB or similar hardcases. I've taken my Ovation and my Les Paul as a checked bag on Southwest. You'd have to actually crush the case with tremendous force (assuming you detune the guitar to relieve the tension on the neck) to kill an SKB case. You could crack it, but it's going to absorb the force.
- acknotSW, on 07/08/2009, -0/+13Nathan doesn't play the guitar.
Try it in Skwisgaar's voice, it actually gets funnier. - trixdropd, on 07/07/2009, -2/+15They must pay!!! Awesome video. I can respect a person like this. He doesn't slam them, just states the facts. I love it... Digg it!!!
- Bacontastic, on 07/08/2009, -0/+12You know how you feel like shielding your balls when you see another dude getting hit in the junk? That's how this story made me feel about my guitar.
- Joshuarr, on 07/08/2009, -0/+12It's the anger -- a simple emotion clearly conveyed that you identify with.
- wasamonster, on 07/08/2009, -1/+13I'm not a country music fan, but I liked the video and support it.
- Joshuarr, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12A chick on digg trying to get laid, but instead getting buried? That's funny.
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+11I recall being at the airport watching them load luggage onto my plane.. I saw this huge set of Louis Vuitton luggage getting tossed onto the belt bringing them up to the plane... as the belt backed up this huge Louis Vuitton trunk fell from the top and bounced on the tarmac followed by the rest of the luggage. At first I laughed a little to myself, then noticed a woman next to me looking a bit concerned... I turned and asked her, was that your luggage? I felt instantly bad about the chuckle. That baggage must have costed thousands. She turned quite red in the face as she walked towards the counter. I would rather pack and ship my guitar Fed Ex than bring it on a plane.
- ptsuk, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12they also break golf clubs!
- jbignell, on 07/08/2009, -1/+12Dave is a great guy and wouldn't make this stuff up!
- m3arvk, on 07/08/2009, -2/+12Whether they take pride in it isn't the question. If they broke it they should pay for a new one. End of story.

What is Digg?
