- TylerDCA, on 05/07/2008, -1/+7The ski lift is my favorite... point and shoot as well (:
- dmoney06, on 05/07/2008, -0/+5your :) is backwards
- Harelin, on 05/07/2008, -0/+4I'm guessing you would have some pretty disturbing answers in an ink blot test.
- Sail3, on 08/04/2009, -0/+2#5 is atrocious.
- jkharris07, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1Those are fantastic shots, especially the corridor photo.
- Cian1973, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I love the simplicity of the image of the lightning bolt beside the long exposure highway . . . stark and dramatic. I'm a painter, and I always admire images that say a lot economically. My personal favourite of the ten.
- Skanadian, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Haha, the car one is the best. The two passengers are in their power stances while the driver is keeping it cool.
- Mizzy, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Digg me down, wrong story.
- inactive, on 05/07/2008, -1/+2The Shipwreck looks like Fraser Island in Queensland. It was decommissioned and on tow to Japan when it was trapped in a Cyclone. It broke free and drifted onto Fraser Island. Later the navy used it as Target practice, the hull, bridge and forward hull is smashed outward and upward. The top deck is buried in the sand, what remained anyway. The sign on the front is to warn drivers at night that it's there. The beach is nearly 180 meters wide and is known as "The pacific highway".
You can drive only on the beach, aside from some old logging roads. Its about 2.5 times the size of Manhattan island and its trees are native only to the island. Yellow box and Sattinay are prized timbers that when used as Piers in bridges or Shipping berths take well over 100 years to begin rotting. The island is 9% sand with 1 rocky outcrop, an old volcanic "nose". - frase, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1That is definitely the Maheno, shipwreck on Fraser Island just north of Eli Creek. You sure have some messed up facts on Fraser Island though.
The eastern beach is indeed the main road on the island, but it's definitely not 180m wide, and I've never heard anyone call it "the Pacific Highway". The ship is along the waters edge and the sign wouldn't even be noticed by drivers approaching the ship from either direction.
I do not know of any trees native to the Island. Fraser Island is actually about 25 times bigger than Manhattan. The island is -almost entirely- sand although there are -several- rocky outcrops, the most prominant of which is Indian Head. - Mizzy, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I guess someone watched Mythbusters.
- Mjuboy, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1Anyone have high-res versions?
- consoneo, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I'd definitely have to say the first one, of the man in the canoe traveling boldly into the mist. It is kind of like picturing ambition. Driving on through the unknown to get where you want to be. I like the symbolism as much as the photo :)
- GovernmentSp00k, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1"How photo shopped can we get?" LOL. Some good shots nonetheless.
- tvl233, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0yes, it is my favorite too
- yexy, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0It's funny how after reading your comment, I glanced at your user name and read "biggdick"...
- tokis, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0i like it fast
- yuanzhoulu, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0some of these are pretty fabulous, but can't they just title it "great transportation photos" and not "top 10"? there is no evidence of a well-researched worldwide competition here.
- corryface, on 05/07/2008, -0/+0nah dude, the one on the train. the colours are awsome.
- jackojohnsson, on 01/05/2009, -0/+0Love the boat shot, absolutely amazing, some other fine shots there as well.

- GIACOMOSAN, on 05/07/2008, -1/+0Depth sure is a must in the tranportation 'genre', apparantly.
- uptwolait, on 05/07/2008, -2/+1Picture 1, in the Digg thumbnail view...anyone else see goatse?
