- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -2/+23as some one who's been to most of these lounges - i've gotta say... "meh... its still at least another 10 hours on a plane, more airport food, and at least 1 missed/delayed/canceled flight until I get to my destination."
- Socram, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8I've spent many hours at the Cathay lounge in Hong Kong, it's by far my favorite. The PS3 arcade is pretty cool, which includes a couple Grand Turismo based simulators. Also, the spicy peanut noodles at the noodle bar are spectacular.
- sgiffy, on 08/11/2008, -0/+8I'd say that BA's lounge at Heathrow is better than Virgins but that's just me. And I agree with jackspayed, the pictures look great but you're still at an airport. I would much rather not have to get there 2 hours early to meet bag checking deadlines and go though over the top security.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7As long as I can find an empty stall to whack it in, I'm not particular.

- waddles411, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5Digg for all being on one page!
- iceshake, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5They left out Singapore's Changi Airport Lounge?
- inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+5I was in Lufthansa Lounge couple of years ago. It's actually much smaller than it looks on the photos. The open bar was pretty cool.
- Ex3poo, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4Mirror mirror on the wall?
- LongBong, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3hopefully
- barc0001, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3Is that you, Senator Craig?
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3I think I must get lost in my thoughts and walk right by somethings. I missed some of these spots that I will have to check out next time I pass through
- 8ballblack, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4Mirror please...275 diggs and already down
- Spaceboy492, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2There's one further down in the comments.
- ozMP3, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2My favorite is the Airport Lounge Gentlemens Club in Milwaukee: http://www.airportlounge.com
- KibblesnBitts, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2I couldn't take number 10 seriously because cracked ruined how I view Orchids
- whazdown, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2The Virgin lounge in Heathrow is nice enough but the drinks / food is just too expensive - pointlessly so. They just know that all these pompous business men and women will pay whatever just to look important.
- StickWST, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Already been on dig actually.
So the comments read "What next? Top 10 top 10 lists of top 10 lists?" - TripleAStacked, on 08/12/2008, -1/+3Being that most international flights have a price tag of $ 3500+ for first class, i better get all this.
- synystar, on 08/12/2008, -1/+3JFK wins. I'll have a drink in peace and tell everyone who isn't a hot chick that a couple friends are just on their way.
- MacBookForMe, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Some of them are really well designed, even though they look much better in real.
- pennvneff, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2United lounge in Narita Japan is the bomb. All you can drink alcohol, they've got a mini-keg and hard liquor including my favorite, Johnny Walker Blue, right next the coffee.
- chickentonight, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Second that. The dim sims too.
- absurdist, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2The Frankfurt Lufthansa lounge is great. Free food, free booze... BUT...
Wifi is provided by Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile). at 12 Euros PER ***** HOUR. Just a bit of a ripoff. - diggapleeeze, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2not if you're flying coach
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2***** the elite.
- 8ballblack, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Becareful....I think the NSA might be looking into that regarding airport security as well...They WILL detain you haha
- diggapleeeze, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Yeah well, if you've been to one of these lounges 10 hours first class ain't so bad. I've been to just Virgin's on this list and it's pretty cool.
- Ex3poo, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2I wish I was rich.
- BARCHER, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. They also have a robotic beer dispenser that tilts the glass to perfect angle while two spouts dispense the suds. One is for the beer, one for the head. Oh, and this is located to the fridge that keeps the beer glasses frosted.
- antoniuk, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1And yet airlines complain about almost being out of money. Screw these lounges, give me my meal, movie nad pillow bakc then we can talk. Cheap bastards.
- britoca, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1meh
- nickbr00tality, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2Who is fairest of them all?
- LostinService, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1I prefer GA airport lounges. Some of them can be absolutely amazing.
- Spaceboy492, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1works for me :/
and no, I've never seen the original article before - jattea, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Love the use of the Eames lounge chairs in the Virgin London room. Beautiful, classic design, and they cost over US$4k each...
- brain1976, on 08/12/2008, -1/+2The Northwest lounge in Narita, Japan is one of the best I've ever been to. iMac terminals all over. Free wifi, Sushi, salad, soup and noodle bar. Open bar with Asahi Draft Beer among other alcohol drinks including various sodas and teas. Not to mention a shower section if you need to freshen up before your flight. Has a daycare center for the kids. Sure beats the bus stop situation downstairs.
- somnambulist, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1What I love about the Wing and the other lounges in HKG is they're fairly well hidden. It's great to ascend/descend from the chaos of the main departure concourse to a nice, quiet lounge.
- gagahput3ra, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1and.....it goes down.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1God no. Heathrow's is terrible.
Crowded as hell, poor outlay, not enough space, not to mention those wtf sized 200 ml coke cans?.
If you want the best Qantas lounge @ Singapore or Toyko is by far superior.
Great service, they let extra-non members enter with you (very nice of them), spaced out, quiet, relaxing, very comfortable.
Best thing about these is the awesome showers.. both have spacious marble showers with classical music playing in the background. Rivals 5-star hotel bathrooms. - jaybol, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1you obviously don't know PMG bro.
- pbone, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1no LaGuardia love? (just kidding).
- audguy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1One word: Layover
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1I need someone to feel me in on something. It seems like many of these lounges have things to do--like a spa--that would take hours. You'd have to get to the airport, go through security, get to a lounge, get in for a treatment, change clothes, shower when done, etc. Who gets to the airport 6 hours early or stays there 6 hours after their flight gets there? I mean with all the hassles of an airport, I surely wouldn't plan on arriving early enough that I can get a whole spa treatment. What am I missing? I know sometimes flights are delayed, but you can usually never be sure how long and if they're going to put you on a different flight or wait for that flight to arrive. I probably wouldn't try to squeeze in a spa treatment without knowing this..
- dexedrine, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1yeah, it's still an airport. But I would much rather spend my time being pampered after getting molested by the TSA instead of sitting in a noisy lounge with kids running aroound.
- jaybol, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1apparently a lot of people disagree with you
- victorguttmann, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1The Air Canada lounge in Vancouver has 2 kegerators. Enough said.
- barc0001, on 08/12/2008, -0/+1Hey, if you're flying Air Canada, you can spend 20 bucks and go into the Maple Leaf lounge. I did that on my way back from Montreal one time when I had 5 hours to kill at the airport. It was pretty sweet. Not very crowded, leather armchairs, free food and drink, including beer, TVs, PS2s, wifi, etc. Most enjoyable 5 hours I've ever spent at an airport.
- cluckcluck, on 08/11/2008, -1/+2It's always irritating to read articles that are as poorly edited as this one.
Some of the lounges sound interesting- but I wonder why they wouldn't include a picture of the "river" in the one lounge, when that was the most unique aspect of it. -
