- ARTLUKM, on 02/09/2009, -10/+205Someone needs to beat the ***** out of the ***** who did this. I find it absolutely disgusting this happened to innocent animals, and even more disgusting that this also happened to innocent PEOPLE.
- Jaliyl, on 02/10/2009, -2/+149Except centipedes. ***** centipedes
- orlyfactor, on 02/10/2009, -3/+116Then someone needs to beat the ***** out of those clouds that caused the lightning then!
- Axxion, on 02/10/2009, -0/+91Bad title name.
- willsani, on 02/10/2009, -1/+85That's ***** sad. No living being should ever suffer like that :(

http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/02/bushfires ... - LUCCHINA, on 02/09/2009, -9/+75I can't open link to see the picture ;-( (You'll understand why...)
Terrible what happened in Australia... For humans, and animals too. - RobynG7, on 02/10/2009, -0/+61Apparently some of them were started by arsonists though.
- AmyVernon, on 02/09/2009, -4/+64Astounding devastation.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -2/+57why would anyone think this had been 'shopped in the first place?
- estate, on 02/10/2009, -0/+54Shocking. Police are saying the human death toll may reach 300.
And the loss of livestock (plus roos and other wildlife) will be much, much higher. - arsheroica, on 02/10/2009, -3/+49***** YOU ZEUS I DON'T COME UP TO YOUR CLOUD AND PISS ALL OVER YOUR FARM ANIMALS
- kiwigal, on 02/10/2009, -3/+44I just found out their fund is up to 15 million. The believe the death toll will be around 200. Its terrible, they compare it to a bombing, however I think this is worse.
- BillCStickers, on 02/10/2009, -2/+42allot of the fires were started by lightning strikes.
- WafflePirate, on 02/10/2009, -5/+45This picture made me feel incredibly sad and like crap. My day has been officially ruined. I hope they catch the person that started those damn fires and give them life.
- VividDreamz, on 02/10/2009, -6/+43i believe this is one of the horses that belonged to two sisters who died trying to save their horses in kinglake
- lokee73, on 02/10/2009, -2/+36Not photoshopped...but I wish it was.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -3/+35***** YOU ELECTRICITY!!!!!111
- handheldchimp, on 02/10/2009, -2/+33At first I thought it was a statue...but then I started to realize the sad truth :(
- princessdipshit, on 02/10/2009, -0/+30Incompetence? ***** off, they are fighting as hard as they can, there are over 2 dozen fires in Victoria, they're only human. I'd like to see you do better *****.
- hawkdude56, on 02/10/2009, -2/+31Unreal. The fact that these fires were set deliberately is inhumane and absolutely disgusting. I hope they catch these sick *****.
R.I.P. to all those lost to the fires. - estate, on 02/10/2009, -3/+32Seriously mate, is that appropriate? You didn't hear any Australians cracking jokes about Katrina while people were still dying.

- darylspong, on 02/10/2009, -1/+22You're beating a dead horse.
- keepacoldone, on 02/10/2009, -0/+20RedAbyss: I just signed up to be a member of Digg - just so I could digg you down for saying that.
- JPDyno, on 02/10/2009, -0/+18You try fighting fires 60feet high in 120F heat, with hot wind blowing embers starting more fires up to 50km away, Then you might have half an idea of what our firefighters have to put up with.
- Zervaman, on 02/10/2009, -6/+23I'm usually not "an eye for an eye" type of guy...
but if someone burned those sick arson *****, I'd smile. - phreak79, on 02/10/2009, -0/+15Good grief :(
- tama00, on 02/10/2009, -0/+14Some of the fires are so big that if you stand 100m away from it you would burn alive and die. There's not enough fire fighters or equipment to control 26 fires. All they can do is try to prevent to fires from getting close to houses and towns and there's still not enough for that. 750 houses have been lost and small towns wiped off the map.
- lynchjos, on 02/10/2009, -1/+15not cool.
- inkubusfan, on 02/10/2009, -0/+14who the hell do they think they are with all their.....FEET!
Pisses me right off. - dracostimpy, on 02/10/2009, -2/+16Wow... I guess I'll stick with holocaust jokes, because diggers draw the line at wisecracks regarding animal cruelty.
- timhoward, on 06/13/2009, -1/+14a lot of those fires were started by firebugs too.
- MrFisty, on 02/10/2009, -0/+12These fires have been the literal incarnation of hell on earth. There are bodies being discovered that are so badly burned that not even dental records are a viable option. They have to go off circumstantial evidence, namely identifying the property the body was found on and trying to make a connection that way. There are cars that have melted and a lot of people who were inside trying to flee the fires. The story this morning of an elderly couple trying to get their 53 year old wheelchair bound son into their car when the firestorm came down on top of them is just so far beyond words and any level of my comprehension.
@BillCStickers My workmate lost two friends in the fires on Saturday night. While yes, smoke inhalation would be unbelievably painful due to the heat your breathing into your lungs, you can only hope the intense radiant heat would cause you to black out first, even if just moments before the fire actually hits you.
The current death toll is over 170. But figures in excess of 300 are predicted alongside the 750+ homes that have been wiped out. There are towns that have lost up to 20% of their populations and entire towns that have physically been wiped away. No houses, no shops, no nothing.
Now we have to deal with the thousands of homeless. Farmers who've lost their livelihoods and ability to earn an income. There's also the intense psychological stress that needs to be addressed not just physical burns. This is without a doubt the worst thing I've seen in this country. Ever. - Myztry, on 02/10/2009, -1/+13Go try inhaling blistering hot air full of smoke, and after you finish coughing your lungs out tell us you didn't feel a thing.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -8/+20It must have been somthing else to have seen it. Kind of like the Tsumami... you want to see it, but you really don't wont to have to experience the terror.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -4/+16people ARE animals -_-
- dominator1989, on 02/10/2009, -0/+12Do you have any idea how big those fires are? How strong they are? How hot it is? How windy it is? And how quickly people get dehydrated in those conditions? That's like saying the incompetence of the New Orleans SES is disgusting. You know what? We helped you with Katrina. You can point the finger after you've given it a go yourself.
- breezytrees, on 02/10/2009, -2/+14here, maybe us folks over at Reddit can cheer you up a little bit :-)
http://pics.livejournal.com/futureperfect/pic/000w ... - alphgeek, on 02/10/2009, -0/+11RedAbyss: You're a ***** moron. Have a look at the pictures ottos13 linked to above. You don't have a clue.

- coreman, on 02/10/2009, -2/+10Well, what about all the animals that die during lightning-caused wildfires in the rest of the world? ***** happens. It's part of life.
- Vorsprung, on 02/10/2009, -0/+8Why the hell would anyone digg down that comment?
- randomstupid, on 02/10/2009, -0/+7congratulations on being such a pillock
