- hotstyle765, on 06/05/2009, -1/+21wow... that picture looked so much better as a thumbnail
- njunderground, on 06/05/2009, -0/+18The Motel 8 in Newark should be on this list....
- jjvors, on 06/05/2009, -2/+16The Pyongpyang Ryugyong hotel should be in this list. It's the worlds largest, it's never been used, it's never been completed, and it's the world's ugliest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryugyong_Hotel
- denkongeligefyr, on 06/05/2009, -1/+10I created a digg acount after two years of laughing at digg comments, just to comment this story.
Here it is: i love underwater delivery. - KaivenTor, on 06/05/2009, -0/+7These are really neat and all, but I want to see an underwater hotel styled like Rapture from Bioshock (sans splicers).
- adorkable81, on 06/05/2009, -2/+8How about the world weirdest picture gallery...The website is obnoxious.
- tj111, on 06/05/2009, -0/+6I wanna stay in that underwater hotel just so I can feel like I'm in Sealab 2021.
- thisismydigg, on 06/05/2009, -1/+6the one in turkey is amazing, it reminds me of indiana jones
- MrZaiko, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3That Amazon tower looks so unsafe its fun!
- rif42, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3They are missing the Stockholm Jumbo hotel.
http://travel.spotcoolstuff.com/airport-hotel/arn- ... - zagatbuzz, on 06/05/2009, -1/+4wow, what a colorful list! Some of these places were really cool, like the moving pod and the funky'Lodge' in Berlin.
- luthan, on 06/05/2009, -0/+3there should be a porno filmed at every one of these locations.
how about that compilation? - jdames1980, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2Is that picture in the thumbnail from the goatse hotel?
- Petestreet, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2I've stayed in Cappadocia. In a hotel room carved from the rock. People have been living in carved out stone homes there for at least 1,500 years. They're damp though so when I read about the "comfy bed" in the article, I had to laugh. The beds were like lumpy sacks of damp laundry. I thought this was a great list though. I'd stay in any of these. I stayed in a capsule hotel in Tokyo for a night, and that's the weirdest place I've ever stayed.
- mrdude4290, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2fap fap....(clicks on photo for better view)...(shrinkage)
- rif42, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2A scene from Star Wars was filmed at Nevsehir in Cappadocia.
http://www.stefanomolinari.com/turkey-cappadocia-4 ... - denkongeligefyr, on 06/05/2009, -0/+2It's the bomb when you don't have any money, and your Visa Electron only works in 711 where they only have Tuborg or Heineken. I must say, i surely prefer a Tuborg over a Heineken any day.
- ghaltmann, on 06/05/2009, -1/+3Probably the worst gallery i've used yet... was it buggy for anyone else? iFrames FTL.
- SuburbianMike, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1Slide shows, when will web designers learn....
- MokaPot, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1MYLF.
- rif42, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1Hejsa, velkommen til.
Why Tuborg? - inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I stayed in the dog-shaped bed and breakfast on a road trip of Idaho last summer. The yard around the building is full of cool dog-related chainsaw carvings. It's right next to the highway though so the noise is kind of annoying at night.
- pussyWagon, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1That was the most frustrating image gallery I ever used - just a bit worse than Forbes.com galleries.
The few images I got to look through were kind of cool otherwise. - PinkThing, on 10/15/2009, -0/+1Paxton Hotel, Paxton, New South Wales, Austrlai should DEFINITELY be on this list.
http://www.thegreatnorthwalk.com - mizusajt, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I guess these guys have never visited a roach motel...
- rif42, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1In spring 2008 I stayed at a rock cut hotel in Göreme in Cappadocia. If you look for it you can also do it on a tight budget. We got a big room for just 25 EUR/night. Slightly cold (in March) but with a heater.
- metrognome, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I originally read the headline as "World's Weirdest Holes"... and yet I still clicked on it. Not sure what I was expecting to see.
- Hu99, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1It's not really a hotel (yet), but definitely one of the world's biggest displays of foolish conceit.
- diggeratwork, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I think the Fantasyland Hotel is a pretty bad rip off...
- inactive, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1The motel 8 in urbana, il i stayed at should be on the list - hookers, drug dealers, crackheads and roaches.
- Hu99, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1MYLF? Huh?
- JCEEZ, on 06/05/2009, -0/+1I went to some pretty crazy love hotels when I was living in Japan. Some noteworthy ones include an ancient Rome themed one, a Santa Clause themed one and a dungeon themed one.
- Hu99, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1Dugg for living near a 7-11 that sells Tuborg.
- Hu99, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1The list is "weird" hotels, not typical American motel experiences.
- Hu99, on 06/06/2009, -0/+1Eeeww!
- openroads, on 06/10/2009, -0/+0I love lists like this, and would love to stay in the Igloo Village . See my article which features more UK weird hotels including castles, a prison, an old railway station hotel - http://www.openroads.com/august-2008-news.html
- benr12, on 07/03/2009, -0/+0I guess these guys have never visited a roach motel...there should be a porno filmed at every one of these locations...http://www.e-jiudian.com
- chamorro, on 06/06/2009, -0/+0Stick to laughing at digg comments.
- denkongeligefyr, on 06/05/2009, -0/+0This maybe the most stupid thing i have ever said. Well. I blame Tuborg.
