Ted Stevens - kamikazicondon, on 03/05/2008, -1/+27That is eerie
- Lyndoman, on 03/05/2008, -1/+19Just don't get caught when cycling down the tunnel
- ghm101, on 03/05/2008, -1/+18"Imagine a tunnel more than ten storeys underground, a hundred years old, bricklined, wet, ...."
sounds like the tube here in London (except maybe for the rope thing, though on a busy day....) - meridian300, on 03/05/2008, -0/+13No, you just have an affinity for the *****.
- OakRidger, on 03/05/2008, -0/+13No, that's Niagara Falls. Erie is further south.
- Jergens, on 03/05/2008, -1/+13Hmm...if you've ever been there like I have, you'd know that the tunnel isn't nearly as beautiful as these pictures make it out to be. Lighting is everything, I guess.
- skyfyre, on 03/05/2008, -0/+9It looks suspiciously like the secret underground entrance to an Umbrella facility.
- DeathJux, on 03/05/2008, -0/+9Dugg for the last paragraph:
"Lying below a river that will relentlessly tear into the bedrock until all has been obliterated from Queenston to Erie, this tunnel thirty-three feet in diameter is imprinted into my being forever. A swirling army of red brick millions strong, the eye of a petrified hurricane leading us right into the centre of the stalled but fighting storm that is Niagara Falls. Standing in its back-blast, in a place far deeper and darker than any middling storm sewer, I breathed and drank from the fount of the universe and swam closer to its centre than I ever will again."
Awesome, if not a bit over-the-top. - FeloniusMonkey, on 03/05/2008, -0/+9trippy indeed... but have you ever explored the tunnels.... ON WEEEED?
- TheFred, on 03/05/2008, -0/+9I was half expecting to see Tommy Lee Jones chasing Harrison Ford on one of those photos
- mrgreenjeans, on 03/05/2008, -0/+8Looks like my upper G.I.
- djepik, on 03/05/2008, -0/+8er, I think you mean the other way around. We have the cool part and this generating station on our side.
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -0/+8would be a good place to hide from the machines.
- m0zzie, on 03/05/2008, -0/+6anyone for some urbex?
- postitnote, on 03/05/2008, -1/+7So... have you told your parents yet?
- gwyrth, on 03/05/2008, -0/+5It'd be awesome until the pressure of 600,000 gallons of water per second killed you :D
- WhoDoneIt, on 03/05/2008, -0/+5It's probably what the inside of Paris Hilton's vagina would look like. *****, probably smells like it too.
- tmbrwolf19, on 03/05/2008, -0/+5Probably not since at the time the plant was operational and millions of gallons would be pouring through those tunnels. : P
- igeoffi, on 03/05/2008, -0/+4Why not go straight to the source? http://www.sleepycity.net/viewpost.php?b=67
- erkokite, on 03/05/2008, -0/+4Here is some more urban exploration stuff about the Niagara Falls tunnel. Way better than the story above too.

Cheers. - inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+5How cool would it be to launch a boat out of that, and shoot out of the waterfall :D
- letierri, on 03/05/2008, -0/+4Tour...? Dude this is not the same tunnel, there is no tour and this place is closed to the public.
- kingofinternet, on 03/05/2008, -4/+7more pictures, less cheesy prose.
- RandyAndy1, on 03/05/2008, -5/+8Pretty cool.
- Onyxblaze, on 03/05/2008, -0/+3and the second to last picture is boobs.
- CheeseburgerBro, on 03/05/2008, -1/+4I'd double-Digg it if I could.
- Forbizzle, on 03/05/2008, -0/+3Anybody else see a penis in the overhead blueprints, or am I just latent?
- emeksv, on 03/05/2008, -0/+3I've been fascinated with this place for years. It makes all the urban exploring I've ever done so much pointless wanking. It's fascinating in particular because, if you screw it up, no one is coming to get you.
- Liam5, on 03/05/2008, -0/+3For more information on how the did it, and the story behind the trip check here:

If you have any other questions about Urban Exploration, I'd be happy to help you out. - andrew522, on 03/05/2008, -1/+4If McCain gets this election, that statement will have to be reversed.
- BlogCrawler, on 03/05/2008, -1/+4I feel like smuggling Canadian dollars to US through it.
- erkokite, on 03/05/2008, -0/+3Good call, but I didn't know about that.
- hollywoodphony, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2This is why I won't go over the falls in a barrel: I don't want to get sucked down an invisible tunnel.
- skyfyre, on 03/05/2008, -2/+4A neat article, but isn't it spelled "stories?"
- cledford, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2I was waiting to see "IT" in the background. Fkn clown...
- mearom, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2Is this where the mutant ninja turtles live nowaday?
Or else I don't care. - flipmeat, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2skateboarders, your challenge awaits. Take your pro mountain climbing buddies.
- acatzr800, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2There are actually tunnels on both sides of the falls which take you right behind the falling water. I take a trip over to the falls a couple times each year and in the winter, the tunnels behind the falls are completely frozen solid.. imagine giant ice stalactites blocking the tunnels and you get the idea.
- DonJohnTom, on 03/05/2008, -9/+11its how all the illegal Canadian immigrants get into America
- dickeywayne, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2My grandparents, who both grew up outside of Buffalo, took me to Niagara Falls in 1976, and told me that there was a tunnel under the falls, that used to be open to the public when they were kids.
Thanks for posting that. It brings back a lot of happy memories from that summer! - fightforyou, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2buzz kill
- JulyZerg, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2What, mr. gun obsessed freak?
- anchorboi, on 03/05/2008, -1/+3Is it open for the public?
- DarkDx, on 03/05/2008, -0/+2He still escaped trough those tunnels, with water.
- Rodalli, on 03/05/2008, -1/+3I'm not usually a photo guy, but these are truly spectacular. I'd really love to see this place in person.
