- Witherbucket, on 06/22/2009, -0/+8I am amazed by the hate Greece is getting. I was just there for three weeks through my college and it was an amazing place. We were quite enraged that the museum was closed and only opening several weeks after we left. Granted it was one of many places we visited, but we missed it all the same.
And to the first commenter, they destroy no old buildings in constructing the new. If they find an archaeological site it must be excavated and if too much needs to be done, they force the building to go elsewhere.
Greece may not be what it once was thousands of years ago, but no place is. Greece still has a wonderful, continuous culture and landscape and I would love to go back. - spookyttws, on 06/22/2009, -0/+7Wow, it's preeeety. if they did a deal where it stayed in its home country for every second year but went to a different one on loan each other year
so thered be a continuing international exchange of artifacts so everyones local museum would have a new world class attraction every year
