Enjoy - diggleague, on 05/27/2008, -0/+36Full homeowner debt table on one page:
http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2008/04/17/debt-ho ... - Motivaaator, on 05/27/2008, -1/+26this should be titled "25 separate pages of ads"
- TheWriteGuy, on 05/27/2008, -2/+23Buried because we're all sick of these Forbes slide shows.
- PurgueFlantar, on 05/27/2008, -0/+17"No more Forbes articles! No more Forbes articles!" say it with me friends.
- SeekaF, on 05/27/2008, -0/+10not on an american salary.
- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Next time dont take advice from "flip that house" our those infomercials.
- Whackly, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6Ohio isn't that bad. I moved here after a decade in central MN. Ohioans are at least 24 percent less stupid than central Minnesotans and the weather is quite pleasant throughout the year here. And don't forget, where else can you witness the daily cycles of nature such as the invasive stench of 100,000 portapotties that rolls over interstate 75 in Dayton each night after the sun goes down or the constant whizz, groan, and scream of pilots in training from WPAB doing high bank turns over your house. Where else but Ohio can you find two neighbors who grew up next to each other where one has a southern accent and the other doesn't? Where else can an election be stolen with blatant electronic vote machine rigging complete with a witness who actually paid to create and implement the software to do so and the whole thing just kinda fizzles and dissappears... wonder whatever happened with that...?
- Hangly, on 05/27/2008, -1/+725 photos in an excruciating ad-driven slideshow.
Beaten, but that's how pissed at these I am. - MatthewDuke, on 05/27/2008, -2/+8Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati? (and Dayton and Akron in the expanded rankings)
New state motto: Ohio Is For Borrowers.
Who's with me? - glaz, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6Holy *****, American property is massively cheaper than British property.
- mikephimikephi, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5worst abuse of javascript ever
- soupr, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6London is my favourite city in the world, but it is going to kill me to get a house here.
- amishterrarium, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5But...all the pretty chicks with the crimson lips say Cleveland rocks...
Oh, it's too early for Digg. - FUR10N, on 05/27/2008, -1/+5I hate that website and its fancy slide shows. It is so going in my hosts file.
- Whackly, on 05/27/2008, -0/+4It ought to be. We've got loads of it.
- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -2/+5Good luck with those displaced Looties from New Orleans trashing your city!
- inferno10, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3Seriously. That's the last time I take advice from Erik Estrada...
- whipnet, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3No surprise Houston is not listed. Houston housing has always been dirt cheap and has not felt ANY of this.
House in LA - $500,000
Same house in Houston - $120,000
* - RumaruDrathas, on 05/27/2008, -2/+5Whoever designed the Forbes "slideshow" needs to be dragged out back and shot (what happened to just having a 5-8 page article?)... but for an aspiring Homeowner such as myself, it's a pretty good and informative list.
- malvado, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3don't take money against your house when the value is declining.
the ratings are the percentage of mortgage with seconds and helocs relative to the value of the housing. - Emmo213, on 05/27/2008, -0/+3I only clicked on the article because I recognized the Cleveland skyline. Isn't it about time Cleveland is in a top 25 list for something good? I need something to remind me why I live here!
- Zaggynl, on 05/27/2008, -1/+4slideshow buried.
- thanakar, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2I escaped Ohio 20 years ago..glad of that fact now.
- DeathJux, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2Yeah, now wtf do the numbers mean to me, Joe Internet-Homeowner?
- rockefeller2, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2There are no Florida cities on the list.
????? - rxbudian, on 05/27/2008, -0/+2Man... most of those places are cheap. It makes me want to move out of Vancouver. Here 1br condo starts at over 300K unless it's15-20 years old.
- Whackly, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Don't forget Lexington KY (not far away). Apparently I live in the center of a vortex of debt of which I was completely unaware.
- bearcat8543, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1so wait, is this article saying that these are the best cities to buy homes in, or worse? either way go cleveland and cinci!
- banderwocky, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Jeebus, there are some decent priced properties out there.
- RenderGod, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1This looks like it missed slightly north. Stockton, California should be number one. Forbes spent too much time on the 25 pages of code and ads and missed their facts. Newbs
- listrophy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1Get greasemonkey, get the dgg script (still in beta: http://dgg-script.blogspot.com ), add "site:forbes.com" to your blacklist, and bask in your personal forbes-less digg.com.
- ravi7791, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1The first couple seem very cheap. Over here on Cape Cod, you can't find a trailer home for less than 100k.
- sq2shooter, on 05/27/2008, -1/+2Looks like only those in the South are smart enough to buy houses they can afford.
- tolgafiratoglu, on 05/27/2008, -1/+2Believe me or not, Moscow - Istanbul - Dubai trio is more expensive than 24 of these cities, except LA. If USA citizen with good avarage salary can't pay, well, we should be living in hell :)
- orbit1979, on 05/28/2008, -0/+1Yay!! My home town made 25th place! Oh wait....
- wzrds3, on 05/27/2008, -0/+1I'm not surprised about Reno and Vegas. If you want to live in urban Nevada, you're boned unless you're wealthy.
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Three cities from Colorado, I guess my state is *****!, well at least we are not Florida.
- smacksaw, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1Thank you. Forbes and their slideshows can DIAF.
- sodade, on 05/27/2008, -3/+3More like they know that their property values have a much lower ceiling because most southern states are backwards *****.
- InorganicMatter, on 05/27/2008, -1/+1Can Digg somehow prevent slideshows (blogspam would be nice too) from getting front-page'd?
Banning the Forbes domain name would also work. - puxxor, on 05/27/2008, -0/+0Look more closely. The median home price in San Fran and San Diego is higher than LA.
- cdigioia, on 05/27/2008, -0/+0First, no more Daily Mail articles.
After that, I'm all with you. - rudsud, on 05/28/2008, -0/+0Hmm...Thought Bend, OR would be here.
- mydave, on 08/13/2008, -0/+0but houses are great.
