- diggyduggle, on 05/25/2009, -4/+490holy *****, i thought it was two separate photos at first. I scanned the bottom image looking for the boat for a few seconds, then realized it was just a single picture.
- teqmock5, on 05/25/2009, -5/+402HOLY SHIP.
- Deathfrogg, on 05/25/2009, -2/+367Incident report. The Captain was a bozo who put his breakfast before his buisiness.

- Deathfrogg, on 05/25/2009, -6/+191Its NOT a shoop. Long telephoto lens so the perception of distance is forshortened. The ship is only a few hundred feet offshore. It was empty when she ran aground so she came up the beach pretty far.
- ktek, on 05/25/2009, -0/+117Because it popped up on reddit a few hours before
- dna513, on 05/25/2009, -25/+137This is all Obama's fault.
- Fox News - Chrus, on 05/25/2009, -14/+113Why is this popping up on digg now? This happened in June 2007. Almost 2 years ago. <shrugs>
- gvoakes, on 05/25/2009, -7/+98You're so wacky! I love that meme!
/sarcasm - TheGeneral07, on 05/25/2009, -4/+85not shopped
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8b ... - Wareznuke, on 05/25/2009, -11/+86This is why I like Digg. Reddit had the same link up with the most retarded, uninformative comments. Digg users give you the hard facts along with humor.
- blazingpenguin, on 05/25/2009, -1/+71Jacob brought them to the island, didn't he?
- GalOnDigg, on 05/26/2009, -1/+70I sea what you did there.
- Emiraly, on 05/25/2009, -10/+74JESUS CHRIST ITS THAT MOVIE SPEED ALL OVER AGAIN
- zippea, on 05/25/2009, -8/+66GET TO THE CHOPPA
- XenonofArcticus, on 05/25/2009, -12/+67Actually, I'm pretty surprised people say it looks shopped. Other than the goofy situation, everything looks right to me. Perspective looks right, lighting, everything.
- ban1d0, on 05/25/2009, -1/+56We didn't need a bigger boat.
- MNorton17, on 05/25/2009, -0/+48You have got to be shipping me
- mikemehak, on 05/25/2009, -4/+47And this people is why you change the brakes on your boat yearly.
/s - CanIGetAWitness, on 05/25/2009, -1/+40"I knew I shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque."
Captain Bugs Bunny - jman583, on 05/25/2009, -8/+44Do a barrel roll!
- twishart, on 05/25/2009, -1/+36Did you notice the big ship?
- circle34, on 05/25/2009, -3/+37Nope this one is quite real!
The 'Pasha Bulker' ran a shore in Newcastle (Just north of Sydney) mid way through last year.

Surfing the break from the ship - http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1028/699474742_69d7 ... - PCDestroyer, on 05/25/2009, -1/+32I thought it was two pictures at first too. The water right above the building and to the left look like clouds.
- rjey, on 05/26/2009, -1/+31The captain probably ship his pants.
- DrunkenPirate34, on 05/25/2009, -0/+28http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/pashabulker/inte ... Slidshow <--
- chedabob, on 05/25/2009, -0/+28Well at least the front didn't fall off.
- whitesaint, on 05/25/2009, -1/+28Thank you. Does every photo even slightly amazing and incredible have to be scrutinized and fall into the photoshopped category? Thanks for taking all the joy out of the world. Just because you don't think it's real doesn't mean it is.
- dagaz, on 05/25/2009, -0/+27Its Newcastle, Australia.
Which trees? You've got the Norfolk Island Pines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Araucaria_heterophyll ... at the bottom, then you've got some she-oaks (Casuarina spp.), tea-trees (Leptospermum spp.) a couple of Eucalypts and then a Cabbage Palm (Livistona spp.) - btattersall, on 05/26/2009, -1/+28These are some nauti puns.
- sgtbutterscotch, on 05/25/2009, -6/+31That's weird you would say that considering the second comment on the Reddit entry gives the wikipedia article of this particular boat.
- Xinil, on 05/25/2009, -0/+24Helmsman to Captain: "My bad."
- TheR3dMenace, on 05/25/2009, -0/+22you are an idiot
- reefsurfer226, on 05/25/2009, -5/+27"is this country kitchen buffet?" /old person voice
~south park - emosewami, on 05/25/2009, -7/+28Poor, poor execution of a lame joke.
- Doggettx, on 05/25/2009, -2/+22Actually he is right, depth of field has nothing to do with it. All depth of field does (and you're right that's done using the aperture) is blur the background. While in this case the background is pulled forward, which happens when you use a higher magnification lens (or just zoom in)

- Krinkov, on 05/25/2009, -0/+18dugg for bozo, hadnt heard anyone use that in years
- AdmiralKarelia, on 05/26/2009, -0/+18This thread made me keel over in laughter.
- Krinkov, on 05/25/2009, -0/+18didnt even read the second reply huh?
- lex0nyc, on 05/25/2009, -3/+20Silly boat, swing sets are for kids!
- pewpewpewpewpew, on 05/25/2009, -3/+20Speed 2*
- dagaz, on 05/25/2009, -11/+26Its not photoshopped. This ship (the Pasha Bulker) ran aground in Newcastle, Australia (a hundred km or so north of Sydney) a year or so ago. It was all over our news media at the time.
- Chompy, on 05/25/2009, -3/+18I'm on your beach, breaking my keelz.
- banditboydavid, on 05/25/2009, -1/+15I though there were two separate pictures as well. That is one good optical illusion.
- inactive, on 05/26/2009, -0/+13Would somebody please think of the pixels?
- birch25, on 05/26/2009, -3/+16It's not a story until digg says it's a story ;)
- JoeHammer, on 05/26/2009, -2/+15explains the bad driving.
- ZincSaucier, on 05/26/2009, -0/+12because digg isn't a news site. get over it.
