- ghatid, on 05/12/2009, -0/+5Lol global warming nut...In the southern hemisphere, winter comes when we get summer:-D. (As piznut showed us in his link, but I don't think you're smart enough to know to read it)
- bdbr, on 05/12/2009, -0/+4Are you thinking that's December 5th? Its one of those things where America is the odd one: many (most?) countries put the day before the month...so its the least significant to most significant. It really makes sense, when you think about it (but then, so do metrics).
- piznut, on 05/12/2009, -0/+3*cough*

Very cool to be snowboarding like that. - Forthelulz1, on 05/12/2009, -0/+2Since when was it random to snow in the middle of winter?
- frazorblade, on 05/12/2009, -0/+2Yes, very.
http://www.snow.co.nz/ - papastout, on 05/12/2009, -0/+2SImple lesson in geography: the other side of the ROUND (i.e.: the southern hemisphere) planet has an opposite seasonal structure. Therefore when it is summertime in the northern hemisphere, they have winter in the southern hemisphere... and so on.
- frazorblade, on 05/12/2009, -0/+2It's Autumn (fall), so not the middle of winter yet in New Zealand, and it's very rare for it to snow on that beach. It's one of NZ's most popular beaches in the summer and it's pretty unheard of to get a hailstorm that severe.
- Astaro, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1since the middle of winter apparently came 3 months early to Papamoa beach. its only fall here, and it allmost never snows in the upper north island, even in late jusy, when we actually expect it to be cold.
- asskicker32, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1So, is Snowboarding popular down there?
- inactive, on 05/13/2009, -0/+1Yay New Zealand! Early snow season this year. Great for us Snowboarders. Snow fields opened for the first time this year today. Earliest its opened in 15 years. Cant wait. :D
- ghatid, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1In California, it doesn't snow in May...or...winter...
- accursed, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1Nice trolling! +1. I loled inside.
- bdbr, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1Its been a cold spring in the Pacific Northwest. Some friends of mine went skiing on Mount St Helen's (yeah, the volcano) last week.
- Aixxt, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1dID YOU READ THE DATE ON THE STROY??? IT WAS NEARLY SUMMER
- inactive, on 05/12/2009, -0/+1its called snowboarding
- ghatid, on 05/12/2009, -1/+1Oh god, why can't this happen in California? It's lovely here and all, but it would be nice if it snowed at random times of the year:)

And it was in the North Island which is much warmer than the South. The South is also not a cold place.
