- maddskillz, on 07/03/2009, -0/+87The CN Tower in Toronto has a glass floor at 1222 ft. It's pretty interesting watching people timidly walk unto the glass floor. It's even more interesting to see peoples reactions when you jump up and down on the glass floor.
- missinglink, on 07/03/2009, -1/+69Awesome. On the sidewalk below with my super telephoto lens, waiting for a girl in a skirt...
What...?
No, it' okay. I'm Japanese. - Carnell73, on 07/03/2009, -2/+44I think, it would be hard to look down and see the view, as it would be covered with my own feces.

- manicleek, on 07/03/2009, -0/+23What kind of dumbass kids do you know?
- jrm125, on 07/03/2009, -2/+22Lol at using kids to test it out ;-)
- taikyokuken, on 07/03/2009, -1/+20I'm sorry that's retarded. Kids are smarter than you give them credit for.
- dafragsta, on 07/03/2009, -1/+17Well then. Just so you know, American women aren't hiding a tentacle or anything up there.
- caruso, on 07/03/2009, -1/+15Holy *****
- PhillyMJS, on 07/03/2009, -1/+15That's supposed to happen this summer according to the related article linked at the bottom of this page. Doesn't matter, though-- no matter what the name on the building says, people will still call it the Sears Tower for a very long time to come.
- Carnell73, on 07/03/2009, -1/+14Thank you, for your comment, we need, more 19 year old, grammatical know-it-alls, to critique everyone, and drop names of, their favorite, gay porn stars, no one but, you, has heard of.
- monodelasno, on 07/03/2009, -0/+11I had the same issues after watching RoadRunner, constantly running off cliffs. And buying ***** from Acme.
- PhillyMJS, on 07/03/2009, -0/+11"I think I see my dad. *****! The son of a bitch is down there somewhere."
- inactive, on 07/03/2009, -0/+10Hey, who let that guy with the bowling ball and anvil in here???
- JekJob, on 07/03/2009, -3/+12The glass at the CN Tower is 2.5 inches thick. If you're going to jump on it, I'd like that extra inch that the Sears Tower doesn't have.
- JustT4lk, on 07/03/2009, -0/+8kids really are fearless. i would be scared to death!
- Razman, on 07/03/2009, -0/+8Inch and half?
Are they using Transparent Aluminum? :) - inactive, on 07/03/2009, -0/+8I prefer thinking that technology is better now and that the material at the sears tower is better.
- blackdogs377, on 07/03/2009, -3/+10oh NO! will SOMEBODY please think of the children!?!?!?
You must be british. "Don't sell them a knife" - monodelasno, on 07/03/2009, -1/+7I'd be willing to beat it's a laminate build up. The contact surface is probably a plastic like Lexan.

- AtraNoxVII, on 07/03/2009, -1/+6This has ACME written all over it.
- s0nicfreak, on 07/03/2009, -0/+4Yeah, they just might walk out onto the 103rd story in a building that doesn't have walls or a floor at all.
- dwcharn, on 07/03/2009, -0/+4Awesome! I'm going.
- rabidbob, on 07/03/2009, -2/+6If the kids in question are that dumb, well, it's difficult to see this as a bad thing.

- sfcaptainrob, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3No thank you.
- REV0R, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3Pretty sure it's a quote from Star Trek, S1ngular1ty1.
- SirVenro, on 07/03/2009, -1/+4This just in, Sears Tower is hiring a new janitor for their glass floor to clean up the remains after people shat themselves.
- S1ngular1ty1, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3It is actually glass. The so called "bullet proof" glass is actually glass too. The glass is really hard and helps to break up the bullet and spread out the force while the plastic sheets between the glass layers help to catch the pieces of the bullet and broken glass and these layers help slow the bullet down. Sometimes Lexan sheets can be used between the glass layers but they do very little to actually stop the bullet and are there for impact resistance to protect against damage from weapons such as clubs, axes, and hammers.
When a "bullet proof" window is shot it will shatter and absorb the energy of the bullet. What you see in movies where bullets ricochet off windows is entirely fake. There is no material in existence that can do that.

Please be a douche more. - jordanlgta, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3It's horrible when I see news on The Today Show two days in a row before it appears on Digg...
- joe122370, on 07/03/2009, -1/+4no it won't break. It's bullet proof Lexan like the windows in the Prez's car
- inactive, on 07/03/2009, -1/+3My dick feels weird when i get scared really high up in a scary place, like on a tree branch. That happen to anyone else?
- mousky, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2Pssst, it's not made from glass.
- terrya64, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2I couldn't walk on that. It's no so much being scared of heights, it's being the subject of an episode of " Engineering Disasters".
- Nature1, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2Hey, I can see my house from he -- FFFFFUUUUUUUU
- hazard99, on 07/03/2009, -0/+2I panicked just by looking at the pictures.
