- Devine122, on 05/15/2009, -0/+19Welcome to the hotel can't afford ya.
- sonicpentatonic, on 05/16/2009, -0/+18because if you can afford to drop even $15K a night on a hotel, a few more grand in dinners and shopping likely won't put any real ding in your net worth.
For the ultra rich, money is just a way of keeping score. - williampbarnes, on 05/15/2009, -0/+14"...TVs programmed to receive every channel in the entire world..."? WTF
- Keggluneq, on 05/16/2009, -0/+11All but the Athens and NYC rooms looked tacky as *****.
- Kanaka, on 05/16/2009, -0/+11There's having money and there's having sense to draw the line. $50,000 for a night at a hotel is simply not sensible, you could do a whole lot of productive things with it instead...and still have change
Then again maybe i'm just thinking like a poor man...who has no choice but to be sensible with money - wannaBdug, on 05/15/2009, -0/+11Wow one night in Greece could buy a house in Indiana.
- topcat5, on 05/16/2009, -0/+10Now you know where the Bankers, who you will be working the rest of your life to pay taxes to support, head to when they want to get away for some R&R.
- fightingforair, on 05/16/2009, -0/+8Seriously, why just stay at a cheaper hotel, pocket the rest of that money which you can spend on other things. Like: A nice dinner, shopping, taking in the sights.
You know...THE reason you went to that location in the first place. Why spend it all inside your hotel room? - Arkyll, on 07/16/2009, -0/+8... That is just too much. Where is the line?
- dinglebutt, on 05/16/2009, -1/+8The difference being that no one would want to live in Indiana.
- ManUnitdFan, on 05/16/2009, -0/+6I appreciate the effort, but that's only necessary if it isn't on one page. So, helpfulness fail.
- funkgerm, on 05/16/2009, -0/+6Cause if you got 50 grand to blow on a hotel room for a night I'm pretty sure paying for a nice dinner is not really going to be a huge problem.
- m4ngo, on 05/16/2009, -0/+6I'm content with my Holiday Inn
- newgoldtooth, on 05/15/2009, -0/+5such a lovely place
- charlie6969, on 05/16/2009, -0/+5plebians are popular these days........
- ManUnitdFan, on 05/16/2009, -0/+5This is the Atlantis Bridge Suite: http://www.forbes.com/2002/03/07/0307feat_2.html
Meh. - Yazilliclick, on 05/16/2009, -0/+4If you have the money than why not? It's their money they can spend it how they like just like I don't want digg or the rich telling me how I can spend what money I have.
Seriously do not understand why the poster claims it's outrageous that they spend their money on these things. - psykiv, on 05/16/2009, -0/+4Multiple Satellite Dishes maybe?
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -0/+3You could buy both of those not so grand grand pianos for less than a night in each of those places.
If the hotel can extract money from idiots who will spend that good for them.
Hows that $250 hamburger place on wall street doing? not so well i bet. - db113456, on 05/16/2009, -1/+4You are a dreamer, you can not achieve anything even close to that. Not even by a long shot. On the flip side, this kind of money would be better spent on fixing the many dire problems we face across the globe. like making enough vaccines and making them available and accessible to most if not all people, or maybe address the issues of dire poverty, hunger and lack of basic education that 80% of the worlds population suffers from...
- charlie6969, on 05/16/2009, -0/+2My house didn't cost much more than that. Yup, I live in Indiana.lol
- Apollyon0810, on 05/16/2009, -0/+2Or 500 houses in India!
- eramos, on 05/16/2009, -1/+3Can I book in 30 second increments?
- evilbob333, on 05/16/2009, -2/+4Its a testament to what we could achieve if we didn't spend all our time on digg bitching about it.
- skinny01, on 05/16/2009, -0/+2You're thinking like a poor person who needs to decide what to spend on and what not to spend on so that you won't run out. They have plenty of money, they're not spending it all anywhere, they don't worry about pocketing money.
- charlie6969, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1oh, pooh! lol
- triple110, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1GAH!! I am so tired of hotels having crappy websites. There are many people, like myself, who want to know more about where I'm staying than 1 picture. And they can throw out their crappy, and always incomplete, 360 software..
Wow! Where did that come from...lol - crowbar77, on 05/16/2009, -1/+2jesus negative much? And before you start going all self righteous, most people living in poverty would see your own lifestyle as a huge waste of money as well. A small amount of money makes a huge difference in countries like ethopia, so why not give up your internet and start sending money their instead? It's no less a luxury than these hotel rooms.
- db113456, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1Thank you for reminding me, I do a lot more than that, all the time.
- dinglebutt, on 05/16/2009, -1/+2Expressed like a true plebeian.
- inactive, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1Good luck with that. You do know that a house thats is only 800sqft cost upto a 100,000 usd.
Even rural India isn't cheap when it comes to land prices. - kinerry, on 05/16/2009, -1/+2Necker Island not listed, INACCURATE!
- DeepFreezed, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1some make sense. like the 10 room suit for 25,000. get 10 big rollers in there
- smashhell, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1mirror ?
- AbbasJin, on 05/16/2009, -2/+3dude Eramos, be a man, dont drag moms and families to your lonely online life.
respond like men if you want to bash someone. i'm downvoting your ass for disrespecting someone's mom. I dont think you have one, or care about her now that i've seen you pulling out stupid jokes like that. - seltaeb4, on 05/16/2009, -1/+2One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble.
- evilbob333, on 05/16/2009, -0/+1Probably at what they can afford.
- yudiramdhani, on 05/17/2009, -0/+0it looks wonderful
- Apollyon0810, on 05/16/2009, -2/+2The spelling and grammar errors kill the article. PS. Agreed with Keggluneq
- ZeroCubed, on 05/16/2009, -1/+1Hotel rooms? More like houses.
- Surfertroll, on 05/26/2009, -0/+0These guys rake in large money, but the overhead is huge as well. Neckar Island is the bomb! Some of the hotels I have seen on popular hotels sites like http://www.eztrip.com/ are more reasonably priced.
- db113456, on 05/16/2009, -1/+1Why do we need to know , even know about these? Like any or all of us will ever go to any of these places ever. Not even worth a dig, a waste of valuable electrons.
- coastdotcom, on 08/25/2009, -0/+0I want to go to there.
- ranx66, on 05/16/2009, -0/+0I wonder how much these hotels rake in annually. One night goes by quick ! IF I could afford it, I would act like a rock star the whole time, then scrape by on 3 hours of sleep.
- Gloony, on 05/16/2009, -1/+1In short, because everyone wants to exert control over what everyone else is doing, saying and believing.
Conformism is an emotive and distributed form of control and the OP is inciting the audience to voice their similar opinions for reassurance that he/she is, in fact, in control having been threatened by something he cannot (the large sum of money involved in the patronage of these hotels in this case). It is becoming more prevalent in the world as we discover we have fewer and fewer individual liberties and more and more societal obligations.
I trust this was helpful. - eramos, on 05/16/2009, -2/+2Are you new to the internet or something?
- MiniFab, on 05/16/2009, -0/+0Necker Island isn't a hotel, these are hotels not private islands. You could rent other private islands for more than those ones
- leapingstan, on 05/16/2009, -1/+1If tomorrows 6/49 comes through I'll try Athens for a week.
