- jeremyduffy, on 01/23/2008, -0/+22Dugg not only because it's just neat, but because I'd like to see a non-sensationalistic photo on the front page once in a while...
- NickWilsdon, on 01/23/2008, -1/+12Great picture. I bet its 1000x better in real life though - Argentina has been on my list of places to visit for a long time.
- metapop, on 01/23/2008, -0/+11beautiful! i just wish it was a little bit bigger...
- MnmlMn, on 01/23/2008, -0/+6I am the only one... or does this remind you of the David Gray album -Life in Slow Motion?

- countingthedays, on 01/23/2008, -0/+3Hm. Standby? I just always leave my oven at 400 so I don't have to wait... interesting idea.
- kashem, on 01/23/2008, -0/+3That's very nice! Sometimes I forget that Argentina is so close to the arctic.
- inactive, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Because ice expands and contracts alot with just a minor change in temperature, and there's no snow falling to smooth it out.
- lex0nyc, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Mmm... rainbow slurpee...
- kimcheefreak17, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Wow, that is one magnificent picture. Also, does anyone know why the ice looks jagged?

- EmSixTeen, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Link to a mirror? Flickr is blocked. :(
- Shorties, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Killjoy :(
- Virgule, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2this actually could be the same place. very similar indeed.
- Scynet, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2It might have formed from ice dust reflections too, not necessarily water.
- CheeseBullet, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2*move more quickly.
my bad. - CheeseBullet, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Also, as the glacier travels downhill the top and centre of the glacier move less quickly as the bottom and the sides because there is less friction: this causes cracking in the surface of the ice. Also, bending of the entire glacier over the mountainside causes crevaces to appear on the surface (the same thing that would happen if you bent a mars bar or something) as ice cannot stretch..
- iamHERO, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1Gorgeous.

- mal1964, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1It is said that at the end of a rainbow, you may find a leprechaun and his treasured pot of gold.
- INDOAZZ, on 01/23/2008, -3/+4The Glacier will be GONE in Fifty years so enjoy it while it lasts!

- aroundtown, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1It could be summer there.
- Halsfield, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1simple, beautiful example of why we need to preserve the beautiful places on earth by not dumping our trash just any place we feel like or destroying it just to mine material goods out of the earth.
- daliminator, on 01/23/2008, -1/+2Is it weird that the first thing I thought of when I read the title was airplane toilets? :P
- tossayo, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1having trouble seeing the purity; the ice looks dirty
- mt4055, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1Simple. Because like you said, it is a very nice photo and this one is on digg and the others are not
- JohnFrum, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1Not if you stand on your head.
- opticsnake, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1The guy that took this has some other pretty good natural pics. Check out his top 100:

http://fantasymp3.net/letter/h/ - swollenankle, on 01/23/2008, -0/+0i recognized this place instantly because i was here last year. it really is an amazing place and i highly suggest that everyone go check out this glacier. no picture could capture how large and beautiful it is.
on a side note: our guide did make a comment about how the glacier has been receding rapidly over the last decade. just one more reason to hurry up and get down there. - 1uk34dd0, on 01/23/2008, -1/+1Very nice but there are thousand of better images on Flickr so not sure why so many Diggs
- simplistics06, on 01/23/2008, -1/+1batman sucks
- MisterCrowley, on 01/23/2008, -0/+0If you guys want to really give him props, comment on his photo in flickr... I have never seen a photo have over 10,000 hits and have only like 10 comments.
