- Tenlow, on 04/28/2008, -0/+22I don't know about "everyone", I'm pretty happy not being in prison, even as a visitor.
- TheHim, on 04/28/2008, -0/+14Good stuff, people should be built up in prisons, not left to rot.
- CdnPhoto, on 04/28/2008, -0/+12So, do they have to pay the RIAA/Mikey every time they perform?
- icepick314, on 04/28/2008, -0/+9also famous for dancing Hare Hare Yukai...
- avgeneral, on 04/28/2008, -0/+7It just shows filipino's can dance, even those in jail.

the original that you can see was posted 9 monthes ago.... - ravensncrows, on 04/28/2008, -1/+7i wouldn't be lying if i said i, for a brief moment, considered committing a crime just so i could be sent there
- KaiStrikes415, on 04/28/2008, -0/+5Dance OFF , bring back the 80s , the only way to DUAL without killing people
- inactive, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4Apparently you didn't learn the fact that they refer to themselves as Filipinos (Filipinas for the ladies) not Philipinos.
- polygons, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4That prison is not too far away from my old house in Cebu. I may give this place a visit next time I head back.
- archivist, on 04/28/2008, -0/+4i'd go there for Yatta~
- mungk, on 04/28/2008, -0/+3Did they really need a second page on that article for just one sentence? That's just insulting.
- GirlsCallMeMatt, on 04/28/2008, -1/+4when you're talking about the people, its "Filipino"...not Philipino...
and I find that I do not fall under any of those stereotypes
1) I hate performing in front of people
2) I know that there is like one famous person thats actually part Filipino (Lou Diamond Philips)
3) I was never a nurse or engineer nor do I ever want to be a nurse or engineer
4) I hate Manny Pacquiao (Brandon Vera and BJ Penn are both part Filipino, and I like them both way more...UFC FTW)
5) When someone asks me about my ethnicity, I say Filipino but I really do have spanish in me, not the diluted crap of most Filipinos, my grandma was born and raised in Spain
6) I drive an FJ cruiser
and none of my Filipino friends fall under any of those gross generalizations either... - fredsterss, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2There was a documentary on in the UK - I think maybe Dispatches - a while ago that showed the true story behind this story...it's absolutely nuts. The prison warden is a total lunatic, and prisoners are forced to practice the dances like 8 hours a day and get beaten if they refuse. Also the governess of that region is super-fascistic and supports it all...it's all pretty weird. I'd recommend searching for it.
- seiha, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2that's a whole lot of jabbawockeez
- doughboy334, on 04/29/2008, -0/+2thanks for spelling Filipino right, *****.
- shadowflower, on 05/01/2008, -0/+2uhh.. dude, it's 'filipino'..
and you're obviously lucky since i don't feel like flaming ***** stereotypers like you today.. - ArmandoM, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Yes...they pay the Philippines branch of the RIAA.
- ZenMojo, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Nice, except for the fact that the guy who runs this place uses the female prisoners as a personal harem and rules it like Marlon Brando from Apocalypse Now. But, hey, as long as we get a show. :P
- snypylo, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1At least it wasn't hare hare yukaihan
- bowserkid, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1I remember seeing a YT video that talked about the poor conditions there. Any truth to it?
- foxtrot0911, on 04/01/2009, -0/+0I think this was a good idea. Giving prisoners a chance to do something worthy.
- chinacensored, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0If they charge admission it could be a way to cut costs of operating prisons. Maybe the US should look into something like this... save the taxpayers a little.
- avgeneral, on 04/28/2008, -1/+1that's right i forgot about that
- trustus, on 04/28/2008, -3/+1Isn't this an old story... i saw this about 3 months ago, and I'm pretty sure that digg pointed me in it's direction...
- dogbyte_13, on 04/28/2008, -4/+1old, buried
- NF102307, on 04/28/2008, -7/+3Here are a few things ive learned about Philipino people over the past few years:
1) Every Philipino believes he is the greatest entertainer in the world. Hours of karaoke performances in ***** dive bars in Daly City are testament to this.
2) Every Philipino believes that anyone who is famous and has even slightly olive colored skin and/or oval shaped eyes, is definitely part Philipino. A Philipino Co-Worker once tried to explain to me how Audrey Hepburn and Jessica Alba were both Philipino.
3) Every Philipino is or was at one point in their life either a Nurse or an Engineer. Ask for proof, and theyll be glad to show you their poorly forged diploma from 'Manilla University' that they used to gain residency status in America.
4) Philipinos believe that Manny Pacquiao is the single greatest person to ever walk the earth. Chuck Norris apparently has nothing on him.
5) When you ask a Philipino what ethnicity/race he or she is, 9 out of 10 times they will answer that they are Spanish. Though every now and then you will get the occasional Half English/Half Philipino response.
6) That car your Philipino co-worker drives is actually a Honda Civic or Prelude and NOT a futuristic spacecraft/hovercraft. - Catbus, on 04/28/2008, -10/+1welcome to the filth of digg
