Obama Election Shines the Light on Fort Davis
travel-babel.blogspot.com — Historic West Texas fort was the home of the legendary Buffalo Soldiers. These African-American cavalry troops protected travelers, emigrants, freight wagons and travelers along 600 miles of the San Antonio to El Paso road in the 1870s and '80s. Military service took many them from slavery to soldier to citizen. A visit is especially poignant now.
