- jerryjamesstone, on 07/10/2009, -0/+3The thing I love about this idea is that it isn't some phantom energy resource, it is a place people can walk around and enjoy. Even tide pools for wildlife. It has the potential to educate as much as it does power things.

- inactive, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Really now, How freaking cool is this? I would travel just to see this in person. Awesome idea.
- mdelling, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1The average cost per kilowatt hour for an industrial application in the state of New York as of last month was 11.09 cents.
This means that buying the 24KW from a power provider would cost $23,315.16/year. While most so called green energy projects cost more to build than they will ever return, this one actually seems like it could be profitable, as long as the cost/turbine is not extremely high and they continue to operate for years. I'm all for anything that is both profitable and green!
