- jocojohn, on 02/09/2009, -0/+18The world is in dire need of innovative concepts like this! I think a city with buildings which resemble forest objects would be pretty awesome.
- pirlok, on 02/09/2009, -0/+13Now, I would like to eat some mushrooms.
- skoubydoo, on 02/09/2009, -0/+9Alright, who's messing with Sim City again?
- inactive, on 02/09/2009, -0/+8There's a mushroom house where I live, check it out it's awesome! http://www.cmarcera.org/gallery/college/mushroom01 ... http://www.wxxi.org/houses/houses_1/mushroom.htm
- meekrob, on 02/09/2009, -1/+8Dunno, I still like the anthill inspired Arcosanti: http://www.arcosanti.org/
- ezekahr, on 02/09/2009, -1/+7Doesn't look very good in the event of a hurricane...
- JoeSpaceTime, on 02/09/2009, -0/+6This is beautiful art, but actually not a great concept or good design. It's just massive '60s blocks dressed up. Ridiculously expensive and inefficient. Compared to the scale of people and microclimates these towers are ridiculous. Fun to dream though.
- andytronic, on 03/25/2009, -0/+4Very impractical, and very unlikely. At first I thought I accidentally clicked on the "Ten things that SciFi got wrong" posting.
- utvolmiles, on 02/09/2009, -1/+4very interesting
- mstracybrown, on 02/09/2009, -1/+4WOW! How awesome is that!?!
- aolshove, on 02/09/2009, -0/+3Huh... looks kind of like Zangarmarsh. Now we just need to travel around on Fen Striders.
- AdeleMor, on 02/09/2009, -0/+3So effing cool.
- onionoino, on 02/10/2009, -0/+2this is not a bad idea, just needs to be refined, the idea of a structure generating it's own power is an excellent one. And a structure that incorporates some room for a bunch of plants to grow is good as we rely on them for clean air and oxygen. maybe the mushroom concept is a bit far-fetched but with the right minds it is surely doable. It'd be cool to see it incorporate some means of food production, greenhouses or whatever.
- amossology, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3I can imagine Mario just leaping from building to building, stealing your beloved city.
- tjtillman, on 02/09/2009, -1/+3And so, we move toward a Jetsons future...
- GregFD3S, on 02/09/2009, -0/+2Go on...
- NikoKun, on 02/09/2009, -0/+2I wonder more if those Mushrooms will turn into Umbrellas, when a strong wind comes by.
- csb92376, on 02/09/2009, -0/+2John Titor anyone?
- birdman14, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1On the front page of digg in 2 years: "Dubai Builds World's First Mushroom Skyscraper"
- anexanhume, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2Yeah, it would be great if we could accurately predict which cities might actually encounter a hurricane.
- inactive, on 02/09/2009, -2/+3god damn i wanna walk inside a mushroomo house.. looks baller as hell

- Valyn, on 02/09/2009, -1/+2Always seeing such great ideas like this, but they NEVER make it to real life. Even Dubai wont go this far... Kinda makes me sad in pants. Id love to see these self sustainable towers, etc.
